I need some advice- overheating once I get back from work!

So I am doing a mixture of mfp and paleo. I have some fish with vegetables for breakfast (not a fan of eggs), have half a pot of soup for lunch, and have two snacks- a portion of edamame, and another of raisins + nuts + 85% choc. I'm fine all day and don't feel hungry. BUT once I get home at 6, I suddenly feel ravenous. We have limited snacks at home anyway so it's usually bread and butter as a post work 'stuff my face as quick as I can' snack, then I get on with putting dc to bed and then usually have a proper dinner too. I've tried eating yogurt / drinking a protein shake on my way home but I still get home ravenous. Any advice??

I would start by making sure you get some fat into breakfast (choosing salmon/smoked salmon/sardines would do this) and lunch having a more substantial lunch, again with protein and fat - maybe some more fish, or chicken/chickpeas/lentils, perhaps a side salad of tomato and avocado drizzled with EV olive oil?

Then, see if the bigger lunch means you can keep the nuts/dried fruit for when you get home, or perhaps switch to some Greek yoghurt and berries with nuts? Or humous and crudités or apple with nut butter? It sounds like you have a strong association with getting home/relaxing/eating so you either need to work with this-which the change above would do, or change what you do to mark the point where you switch from work to home mode. So this could mean a quick shower, a change of clothes and cup of green tea and piece of dark choc, a cuddle on the sofa and a catch up with dc's....?
