Anyone taking Chromium supplements for sugar cravings?

I have just ordered Solgar Chromium Polynicotinate 200 mcg supplements to try and beat my sugar cravings that always accompany PMT, and often occur just when I'm tired etc etc.

I've read a few cautionary tales on t'Internet about the perils of taking too high a dose, so wondered if anyone had found them effective, how long you need to take them for to notice a difference and what dose you took, please?

I've not heard of them but I gave up sugar at xmas and pmt has practically disappeared. If you can get through the first week it's really not that bad ime, it's just getting through the first week!

Kudos to you Dame - I have contemplated doing that but it feels so hard! Did you give up added sugar and the obviously sweet stuff, or did you go hardcore with fruit too?

No, fruit is full of fibre and good for you! All added sugar, sweets, biscuits, cakes etc. It IS hard at the beginning but I feel great on it now, can'y believe how much crap I used to eat tbh.

No, not at all now, your taste buds completely change and things like grapes taste ridiculously sweet. On the very few occasions I have had cake at friend's birthday parties it tastes really odd and over sweet. I was a complete sugarholic before xmas and ate shed loads!

I am sure if the rest of your diet is healthy you stop craving all the sugar so much.
