Anyone tried the NHS weight loss plan

That is on the NHS website? This involves changing your eating patterns in 12 weeks by sticking to 1400 calories a day, you print off a weekly sheet where you can record daily calories, exercise, five a days and weekly start and end weight. It looks pretty sensible and achievable as the aim is to change eating patterns in the long term to achieve weight loss. I am going to start the 12 week challenge tomorrow if anyone wants to join me?

Hi Melons! Count me in, looks sensible as you say. Need something to get me started and motivated. Aiming to lose at least a stone of post-baby weight, starting to get really fed up not fitting into anything apart from my maternity clothes 8 months after DD being born.

I'll have a proper read of the plan tonight, happy to get started tomorrow Grin

Great to have some company. I need to lose 2.5 but hope to drop a stone in the twelve weeks and then stick with it.

Ok, week 1 sheet printed off... Bit scared having read the daily calorie guide for breakfast, lunch & dinner - no wonder I haven't been shifting any weight so far! Going on holiday in exactly 12 weeks, so it's perfect timing.

How did you get on today Melons?

Melons79 · 27/05/2014 20:28

Ok thanks. Have come in at under 1400 calories but haven't exercised, hopefully I will get around to that tomorrow! Only managed 2 of the five a day too. I quite enjoyed filling out today's part of the form, that helps to keep on track. But I am eating out with friends tomorrow so will need to be extra careful.

How have you found today?

Not too bad but was bloody starving at one point! Managed to not eat up DDs leftovers & no snacking. Same as you with the exercise today but plan to start the 30 day shred tomorrow, never done it before but the exercises look good, even if it's a bit cringey!

Right, need to find something with barely any calories to finish the day...
