Hi all. Title says it all really, jet off in holiday 10 weeks today, last big family holiday.
2 years ago I lost 3st 4 lb on the Cambridge diet, but 1:5 stone has snuck back on , so the plan is to loose between 1-1:5 stone before I go, NOT on Cambridge ( For me its unsustainable).
I have decided to do 1 week on slimfast ( to use up products, tbh) then Slimming World, with guidance from my mum ( who has maintained on it for over 5 yrs) and a friend who is already on it. NOT going to local group ( history with group leader !) , but may join online .
Walking 30- 60 mins 4 times a week , hoping to start couch to 5k in 2 weeks time ( injury) and yoga on the wii fit twice a week.
Any tips or ideas very welcome, thank you for reading.

So its a total of 5 lbs off .
How is everyone doing ? Brew

Hello!

Well, I posted that I'd be glad to stay the same and I did stay the same but i wasn't glad as I'd secretly been hoping for a loss. I didn't bother weighing myself last week as I new I was pre-menstrual and in thye whole history of my dieting 20 years I have never lost weight when pre-menstrual. Will weigh in tomorrow though but not expecting much as I haven't been particualry careful - must get back on track.

On that note, I have traded the wine & cocktails in for vodka and slimline mixers. One other "easy" change I am looking at is breakfasts. There was a breakfast thread on AIBU recently and some posters basically said cereal was rubbish and I followed one of the links provided and it did make me think my reliance on cereal each morning maight not be helping.

Usually I will have branflakes for breakfast but be starving around 10.30am. Now I thought branflakes were bound to be good for me because they taste so horrible! But, after reading the breakfast thread referred to above, I have swapped to either a bagel with honey or plain yoghurt with oats, nuts and a touch of honey. I'm aware there might be more calories involved actually I have no idea but I think I have been snacking less since doing this so overall maybe less? What do you think? This is particularly important as I often miss lunch (I'm not entitled to one due to the hours I work but if I'm organised I will have a cup-a-soup while I'm working).

Sorry for the derail and well done OP - 5lb is inspiring!

Thanks radiator

I weighed in yesterday and think I've lost 3lb (although not using digital scales as never remember to replace the bloody batteries ). Feel slightly less bloated than usual.
