Hello fellow fat fighters,

Got a few stone to shift?
Want to natter away, bitch, moan and motivate as you do it?

Then come join me! We can weigh in weekly, nag and congratulate as required. Am hoping a few of you can give me a much needed shove in the right direction.

Hello!
I'm halfway through my challenge to lose a stone before ttc again. It is not easy and I am easily disheartened.

I've cut out bread and east mostly salad and meat and fruit with the odd treat thrown In! I run about 10k a week over 3 evenings and do 20 sit ups a day. It's seriously slow going!

What are you doing to lose weight? How is it going? x

TomDaleysTrunks · 19/05/2014 22:53

Woohoo someone is in!

Sounds like you are doing well. DD 2 is 9 months old and I've managed to lose a stone since then doing SW. I've got 2 more to go but trying MFP now. I'm also doing couch to 5k, just starting week 3.

It is slow going and I'm a comfort eater. When the kids are getting on me boat, I reach for the biscuit tin.

Fancy a weekly weigh in?

I'm in, have a lot to lose but would like to start with two stone, have cut out snacking between meals and trying to have smaller portions. So today two pieces of granary toast and marmite, not sure on lunch and supper yet.

PinkSquash · 21/05/2014 08:39

I'm in. I have 4st to shift still, am using MFP and have started walk/running again too.

My main aim at the moment is to drink more water and less tea As I seem to not drink enough in the day

TomDaleysTrunks · 21/05/2014 20:12

Evening all! Lovely to have you. Gin and slim anyone?

Today has been a BAD day. I haven't run and I'm on the wine. Grin

Ah well, tomorrow is a new day and all that jazz.

A Scarlett O'Hara moment. I manage not to sncak today, but had a glass of wine while DS was having tea after swimming and and ice cream. Oops!!

I have started taking raspberry ketones, someone said they might work, I have taken them for two days and a tea tree capsule, not sure if it works or psycosomatic but my hunger pangs have stopped between meals and I don't want to eat as much.

TomDaleysTrunks · 22/05/2014 07:45

That's interesting. One of my POstnatal group swears by them. She's also doing the Cambridge diet. Think she's lost a lot.

Food today:
B: fruit and fat free yog
L: lentil soup
D: lamb with orzo pasta

I'm hoping to go for a plod as well!

DippyEggNSolders · 25/05/2014 07:42

TomDaley can I join you?

I need somewhere to write my food intake down each day; I was on a thread last summer before my holiday and it was invaluable especially when reaching for that choccy biscuit knowing I would have to declare it on MN Grin

Yesterday
B. on piece of seeded bread with cheese, bowl of grapes
L. Salad bowl (cucumber, toms, radishes, pepper) with chicken breast (off the sainsburys hot counter)
D. Regae reggae sauce thrown in to onion, 3 peppers and garlic, as well as left over chicken from lunch. Mad concoction which was a bit hot, so added a splash of cream! Served with white rice, but only half a portion.

Snacks - wine! Ferroe Roche x 5, ok 6...perhaps maybe 7.

Saturday night fail!

Plan the gym this morning to burn it off

TomDaleysTrunks · 25/05/2014 21:44

Awesome! Felt quite lonesome in here. Lovely to have a buddy.
I also used to use a group on here to 'fess up my sins but it seems to have gone in the space of time I had a baby.
Will start again tomorrow as today I've been norty.

DippyEggNSolders · 26/05/2014 09:47

Last night I was at a wedding and drank way too much, ate sweets and hog roast.

Due to nursing a hangover from hell, I've just eaten 2 crumpets with various condiments of peanut butter, Nutella etc! Epic fail. In my defence, I went to the gym yesterday and had soup for lunch and fish /veg for tea before drinking myself into oblivion

TomDaleysTrunks · 26/05/2014 09:56

Hangovers are the devil. All I want is ready salted crisps and full fat coke!
Well done on gym. Today's run has fallen by the wayside as DH has decided to crack on in the garden.

Food today
B: fruit and fat free yog
L: lentil soup
D: teriyaki chicken, rice and salad. Prob a few drinks as pals over. Will try and stick to gin and slim.

Enjoy bank hol, it's actually not raining here.
