WW shock weight loss...WHY?

I have just done my first week at WW. Me and DH both joined. Our scales said he had lost 7lbs and me 6lbs. Went to WW last night and DH weighed in at 3lbs lighter and me as only 1. I was soooooooooooooo shocked and upset. I have tracked everything that I ate this week and kept well down on my points allowances. I have also been working out. The WW lady said I have to cut out carbs and eat loadsa meat. She also said I have to eat my points allowance. This is starting to get me down. Why the hell did they not tell me this on week one. I have wasted a bloody week thinking I was being good for eating less only to be told I was wrong. I am gutted.

Has anyone else been thru the same or should I just throw in the towel and try another diet?

i thought the whole point of the point system of ww was that as long as u kept within your points you could eat what u liked

So did I!!!!

Obviously not.

I will give it another week and up my protein and lower my carbs.

Oinker .

Remember though at the beginning both you and DH are losing water as well as lard. It sometimes takes a bit longer for the losses to show in some people because of the water loss. In the past, I have dieted well and only lost 1lb in the first week - the following week sort of makes it for it as the water and lard loss even out. I would stick to your diet and I am sure you will get a good loss next week. Sounds as if your home scales might need updating though .

Never heard before about not eating too many carbs on WW. The whole point of full choice (if that's the one you're doing) is that you can eat what you like if you stick within the points. I never did no count, as my portion control is dreadful, so that may be different!

You can do it - I know many people who have lost and kept it off with WW (me included) and it really does work. Just stick at it and you'll see good results very soon.

We are going to stick with it. It just came as a bit of a shock. Our scales are new. We got them for this purpose. We never had any before.
Thanks for the advice.
