I've got two stone to loose for a op that's scheduled for September. So I'm going to boot camp 2 times a week and have started on slimfast. Going on the three shakes a day plan. Anyone care to join me and beat this weight together?

Isn't it full of sugar - I don't think it's very balanced diet last time I looked.

Slim fast is great for a quick kick start and to lose the first few pounds, long term is it crap. I think personally it is unsustainable for any longer than a couple of weeks and will drive a person to binge once they come off it.

You would be much better off to come on MFP and just eat clean healthy food rather than deprive yourself of everything. 2 stone by September is totally do-able and you will have far better results without the slim fast.

I say this as a person who has done every diet going.....the only one that worked was clean eating and lots of exercise

I have just started it, after loosing a stone and a half on celebrity slim ( which is too expensive), well to be exact I did celebrity slim maybe for 3 weeks in the past 8 and healthy eating the rest to loose that.

I'm struggling on slim fast, i have been starving an hour after drinking it.

Going to keep going a few more days and see .

But you shouldn't be starving on any diet. You need to make sure your body doesn't go into starvation mode as your metabolism will stop and no calories will be burned.

If you do want to carry on using slim fast don't just do 3 shakes, you need to snack as well. 3 shakes is only about 700 cals per day, nowhere near enough.

I am starting tomorrow. I have decided to do shake for breakfast, lunch and a 500 cal dinner, with 3 snacks. I know I will not stick to the word and will allow myself the odd additional snack. I am 33 and want to lose a stone for my birthday on the 30th July. I really struggle with healthy eating and cooking/shopping etc etc so slimfast seems like a pretty good time saver and fairly hassle free. As far as exercise goes, I have a bad back and currently suffering from torn muscles in my chest so will probably stick to brisk dog walking as many times as possible throughout the day. Hoping to increase my activity to swimming once my chest is better. I am hoping to loose a good bit in the 1st couple weeks to get me motivated to keep going. With a BMI of 35 and poor health I need to get a move on and start something. Fingers crossed.
Good luck Zobey!!

I'm going back to slim fast after Easter to try and lose the baby weight - 1st to pre pregnancy, 2.5st to pre-wedding weight. I've only ever done 2 shakes a day plus one meal, if doing 3 shakes do you have snacks as well?

Never worked for me. I'm sure I gained on slimfast!

May I recommend the Tins Of Soup Plan â„¢?

It's what I do if I need to drop a few lbs after a period of over-indulgence.

Simply pick 2 tins of soup at around 200kcals per tin, and have one for lunch and one for dinner. I don't have bread with this.
Normal breakfast, I like eggs as they keep me full.
Try and choose a soup with lots of veg, then at least you're having something vaguely nutritious. Not recommended for more than a week or so but good for getting rid of bloating.

Probably going to get flamed now but it works for me! As does 5:2/4:3 but sometimes the flesh is weak Grin
