Hey ladies I need a weight loss buddy I need to lose 2 stone in ideally 2.5 months ready for the summer.
I'm 21 5"5 and 11st 11lbs.
I have a petite frame so its really taking strain now, my daughter is two.
My knees, back and hips hurt and I'm always tired. I'm losing weight but I find it better to have someone going through the same that I can work with and we can help each other. My oh is a health nut and I just feel fat and awful. Whos up for it? I don't want to be this version of me anymore!!

hippie I would love to, if you'll have me.

I want to lose 2 stone too, in 17 weeks starting tomorrow, and was scanning the site looking for somewhere to be accountable. If we lose weight together, it'll be harder to quit and let the other one down.

Logg1e · 23/03/2014 21:11

My plan is to eat the Paul McKenna way and take up swimming again. I might also try the 30 day shred again, but over a longer time period. I'm going to take it a third of a day at a time (seriously, it's probably the most I can concentrate on at a time). I'm picturing myself at the wedding (my goal event) and all of the time I'll think, "what did that size 10 me do today?".

Tomorrow I'm weighing myself and writing down my measurements.

Anyone else?

Ok, day one here we go. Keep positive, focused and slim everyone.

clare8allthepies · 24/03/2014 08:31

Hi, can I join you?

I also want to lose about 2 stone. Weighed this morning at 11 stone 3, 5 foot 2, 37 years old. Initial plan is to just cut back, I have done weightwatchers before so have all the recipe books from then. Was 2 stone lighter 15 months ago but have a new 4 month old daughter to blame for that Smile

Am not going to go too full on low calorie for now as am still BFing (all the flipping time it seems), will see how I go.

Good luck everybody!

Are you going to focus on any exercise clare?

I've been thinking, I'm also going to try to change my treats from food to other sensual delights (oo er).

clare8allthepies · 24/03/2014 09:23

I do a fair amount of walking, with my tank of a pram which normally has my 3 year old on the buggy board too. I do have the shred on DVD, whether I have the energy to do it on a regular basis depends on whether the pesky baby ever sleeps!

I like the idea of other sensual delights although top of my list is probably a snooze! Grin

So, I took my vital statistics and the situation is worse than I thought. I am 11st 11lb. So, I have more like 2 and a half stone to lose. That's still do-able in 17 weeks.

Nearly finished day 1 and it's been a success:

Eating: Mindfully/Paul McKenna all day. Ate half a yoghurt for breakfast, half of some leftover potato curry for dinner and am looking at frozen pizza for tea. Will probably cut it in half and just cook half of it.

Extra Exercise: 20 lengths in the pool.

Motivation: 100% all day.

Achievement: First Step Trophy.

How about everyone else? Don't abandon me!

2whippetsnobed · 24/03/2014 19:59

Hi!

A good day here although my knees are really creaking after walking today. I've logged everything on mfp and I am under my daily allowance by 3 calories. Grin

I think tomorrow I will take some measurements too. Really struggling to squeeze into any of my jeans. Sad

clare8allthepies · 24/03/2014 20:43

Well survived day 1, porridge for breakfast, couscous with low fat halloumi and veg from my weightwatchers cookbook for lunch and sausage casserole for dinner (had already done our weekly food shop before deciding to diet but had half the normal amount of mash and loads of cabbage too).
Slightly over on my daily calories on MFP but had a long walk around town with the kids (and carried loads of shopping) and it doesn't seem that MFP has anywhere to account for BFing

Went to the green grocers and got loads of veg and have just signed up to a veg box scheme, first box delivered tomorrow so will see what we get!

Good luck everyone!

Logg1e · 24/03/2014 20:43

Well done on the calorie count 2.

I ended up eating less than half of the pizza, so reckon it was about a third. This is the thing with Paul McKenna, it works too well so I end up feeling light-headed.

clare8allthepies · 24/03/2014 20:44

Oh and also took measurements, 37 inch waist Sad

Logg1e · 24/03/2014 21:05

Sorry Clare I cross-posted with you there. Sounds like a successful day for you..?

clare8allthepies · 25/03/2014 13:36

So far today have had the same breakfast and lunch as yesterday! Am trying cooking a whole chicken in my slow cooker for the first time, what we have with it depends on what comes in our veg box!

Hope everyone else is having a good day

Logg1e · 25/03/2014 13:48

Going well on the mindful eating front, and I'm feeling proud 'cos it's been quite a stressful day when I'd normally have turned to comfort eating by now.

No extra exercise done, and looking unlikely as it's been such a busy day.

Logg1e · 25/03/2014 18:57

Day 2

Eating: Mindfully all day. Tried to visualise the slim me thinking, "this is what I ate on that Tuesday in March". (Bowl of the children's cereal, two thirds of a pot of Asda's pasta salad and three bits of Bombay potato, small portion of spaghetti bolognese and feel stuffed right now).

Extra Exercise: None.

Motivation: 100%

clare8allthepies · 25/03/2014 20:56

Good going!

With the chicken tonight I had loads of cabbage and mashed swede (with no butter boo) and only 1 small potato.

Have been in the house all day but the 3 year old was driving me up the wall by the end, so definitely going to get out and about tomorrow.

2whippetsnobed · 26/03/2014 09:43

I found yesterday really hard but I survived just. It struck me in the evening (when I was making the pack lunches for the dcs ) that I felt disproportionately hungry as I had already eaten dinner. I made myself a glass of squash and wolfed it down, and then another. Realised I was absolutely parched with thirst.

Note to self: Must drink more!

I've read PM's book and tried mindful eating. It did work some of the time but I came a cropper when I just wanted chocolate. It was like the point of no return for me Grin
Anyway I am going back to it. Thinking, really thinking, about what I want to eat when I feel hungry so I don't shove any old rubbish in. Also retraining my brain to not have to have a full plate at the start of a meal and an empty one afterwards. Funny how this stuff is so ingrained in my thinking.

Today's plans are for a super long dog walk over a big hill and some housework. Scrambled egg and mushrooms for breakfast, salad pitta for lunch and pasta bake with veg for tea.

clare8allthepies · 26/03/2014 11:07

Ooh, I had scrambled egg and mushrooms for breakfast! Smile

Making square wrap pizzas for lunch (I lived on these when I did WW before) going to make chicken curry for dinner, will probably cook a load of spinach and I'll have that and a half portion of rice.

Off out for a trip to the city centre so hopefully that should burn a few calories

Logg1e · 26/03/2014 15:22

Have not had chance to eat a proper dinner due to ill child. Am starving and still far away from a food source Sad Paul would not be happy.

Logg1e · 26/03/2014 18:37

Day 3

Eating: Mindfully all day, but didn't always manage to eat when I was hungry. (Bowl of the children's cereal, one third of a pot of Asda's pasta salad, one crisp and half a frozen pizza with extra veggies on top). Didn't ask DP to bring chocolate in and didn't have take away.

Extra Exercise: None.

Motivation: 100%

Achievement: No Comfort Eating Under Pressure

clare8allthepies · 27/03/2014 08:28

Well I ate rather more curry than I intended, but it was pretty low fat with loads of added veggies.

Leftover curry with veg and raita for lunch, think I might do another roast chicken tonight to use up some more of the veg box stuff up, purple sprouting broccoli, yum!

Hope the poorly child is better, it's things like that happening that always throw me head first into the junk food!

Logg1e · 27/03/2014 08:48

Thank you clare it was just one of those days with not enough hours.

Reporting on here motivated me to do some exercise today, so I've been for a swim and I might try an extra walk later if I have time (rather than taking the car).

Logg1e · 27/03/2014 18:23

Day 4

Eating: Mindfully all day. (Bowl of the children's cereal, 1.5 cheese and crackers, four hash browns, tomato sauce and one finger of a KitKat and for tea I've had a small portion of cheesy pasta).

Extra Exercise: swimming 20 lengths.

Motivation: 100%

Goal for tomorrow: Grazing started to creep in today, I ate at 5 different times. Tomorrow I'm going to aim for only three meals and no grazing in between.

2whippetsnobed · 28/03/2014 10:09

I was a bit of a grazer yesterday too Logg1e

How do you do mindful eating but still stick to three meals and no snacks. That is where I come unstuck. In my mind I tell myself wait for the meal and then after the meal I can tell myself I am not hungry. This works to some extent especially while I am making tea etc. I suppose when I sit down to a meal I focus on it and how I feel and if I feel full afterwards.
Just curious I suppose as to how other people do it?
