Pedometer club 2006 week 3 results w/e fri 11th Aug

Can't see a thread for this weeks results - so I'm starting one as I'm quite proud of mine this week - my best ever (boosted by a very long 4hrs shopping trip on Thursday afternoon - and work that night giving me nearly 17k for just one day!)

75213 this week

Won't be posting mine next week - as I'm flying out to Zimbabwe on Thursday/Friday - so won't have it on for those days. Going to be away for 2 weeks - but I'll keep a record of my totals for those 2 weeks and post them when I come back

I'm hoping we can revive these pedometer club threads when school is back in session....anyone else thinking of joining?

Pedometer club?
What do we have to do? Just post how far we walked? I'm in.

Hi and welcome FourJays! Get yourself a pedometer and program it for your stride. Target is 10,000 steps per day so 70,000 per week. We clock our week from Saturday morning to Friday night. MadameButterfly is usually in charge of posting totals, but haven't seen her around recently. Hope she reappears when summer break is over.

I've got to get walking again or I'll be at the shops buying the next size up in jeans!

Hi, used to do loads last year (no car and toddler group miles away!) but haven't worn it for a while, as I can't really expect my 4 year old to keep up!
Just joined ww (boo!) again, I swim a mile a week and do pilates. Still need to shift a stone so this might get me moving again.

Ooohhh! Only a stone to shift? Lucky you! See you out pounding the pavement!

Awh cheers. DS2 is 2.5 though.
Thought it was time to stop saying "but I've just had a baby!"

well I'm afraid I've got a total for the week ending 18th August (64,000) - but unfortunately none since then as I managed to lose it down a hole in the ground............a toilet in rural Zimbabwe! Completely forgot I had it on - pulled down my trousers ready to squat and knocked it off LOL.

I've been wearing my pedometer but have had some awful totals just lately. I'd love to join in properly once the new term starts.

I hope MB's okay.

Bugger! Forgot to wear it!

Think I'm with coppertop. Start properly when I've got rid of at least one of the little darlings.

cp - I wasn't sniggering when I realised what had fallen - I only bought it a few weeks ago - and it cost me £15!!! Certainly laughed about it later when DH assured me we'd buy me another one.

Quick reminder to anyone who wants to count steps now that school is back in session - we start tomorrow (Saturday) morning! Good luck.

bah-humbug - I'm going to lose a few 1000 tomorrow as I'm going to town to replace my beloved pedometer - happily being consumed by human waste - and therefore I'll do some steps before I even get it......

That was an unbelievable story! But, at least you'll have a shiny new pedometer and you might be inspired to walk extra to catch up for the short time you walked tomorrow without it.

Checked mine tonight, and the digital display numbers are extremely faint. Wondering if I need to get a new one too.

bumping for all the walkers out there. Put on your pedometers and start counting steps! I'm going to get mine now...

well just bought my replacement pedometer - it was half price in Boots - only 7.49 instead of £15 - so well chuffed about that - need to enter my weight and stride length and stuff then I'll put it on - lost quite a lot of steps today - but hopefully make up for it during the week.........

Good for you at finding such a good deal.

I've so far managed just under 7,000 steps which is pretty good for me on a weekend day. I easily make my 10,000 steps per day during the week, but struggle on Sat/Sun. Will have to do something active tomorrow - especially as the weather is forecast to be lovely. There can't be many more of those days left, so need to take full advantage.
