Welcome Superblue - I had 2 sections which is one of my excuses for getting soooo big! I used to find going for a walks most days was a good way of exercising after my section like you say you are pretty restricted but there is a good reason for that so don't push yourself too hard at the moment it is tiring in the first few weeks with the baby and getting over the section

Dunnyjo · 21/08/2006 10:31

Hello all, i too had a e c-section with ds1 and it took me just over a year to actually lose anything (thats how long i did not exercises for ) but i went to the gym and walked on the tread mill ad lost a stone. But walking was all i did as i still found it a little uncomforatable to do much.
Now with ds2 i had nbac and i know it would be the same if i leave it again. So last night i took a lovely long walk to the beach and walked along the front (all stones so gd work out!) today i am doing a work out i recorded on sky.
Tomorrow who know? i will take each day and do something that invovles moving

superblue · 21/08/2006 10:42

That sounds good advice - I have ben trying to go out for a walk everyday but the weather has been so bad over the last week or so, I haven't even been able to do that.

I do have a couple of exercise DVD's which are good but I haven't quite got to grips with what to do with ds whilst I am doing them - he gets bored easily therefore I don't think he would stay quiet in his moses basket or on his play gym for an hour!

Dunnyjo · 21/08/2006 10:54

How about putting your fav music on and set yourself a target to dance to 2-3 songs without stopping then do the same again later in the day? Think i might have to do that as i will prob have to keep pressing pause to deal with my two but dancing i can constanly watch them

sassy · 21/08/2006 11:58

Hello!

Didn't weigh in yesterday but have checked today and I have lost 2lbs - now 11st exactly.

Well done to others. Keep it up!

Somanybabyseagulls · 22/08/2006 16:12

I'm 11 1, same as before but this is a miracle as I have been away for the weekend and have had a 'few problems' to put it mildly.

Well done to everyone.

Well done SSS at least you haven't put any on!
Don't worry too much if you don't lose much it sounds like you have lot of other things going on to worry about losing weight.

Somanybabyseagulls · 22/08/2006 16:44

Whoops, feel like Im running before I can walk, just want to sort everything now! Feel little more encourage after going out for coffee (updated on Chat). Off to docs in a mo.

well done everyone.
I have not lost any weight this week but at least I've not put any on. I have eaten anything and everything I culd get my hands on.
I think I'm back in the weight loss zone now. I have been exercising and eating better since yesterday.
Superblue - take things slowly as you've only just had a baby. Your body needs time to recover so don't start doing any strenuous exercise dvds yet. Take your time. The best thing to do is eat healthy and do gentle exercise like walking.
When you're ready, you could try doing the dvds while the baby is sleeping or ds may find it amusing watching mum prance around.
I've got Davinas which has 3 1/2hr sessions. I find I can't get much more than 1/2 hr at a time.

Pepperrabbit - have you tried the boxercise bit yet? I did it once and I'm sure they forget to switch sides or something. I think all the exercises seem to focus on mainly 1 side of the body. Or I'm really rubbish at it. Let me know what you think.

pepperrabbit · 23/08/2006 18:01

Jahan! I thought it was just me being really rubbish at following the instructions!!! Yes, I'm sure you do a gazillion exercises on one side and about 3 on the other. So glad it's not just me... the skipping bit's a real killer isn't it.
I've just been away for a few days and have to confess to a McDonalds yesterday - first one in about 3 years and it's just after I start a diet. I am soooo bad at being motivated.
dunnyjo - I like the idea of dancing - so simple!
Well done to everyone who's been good and lost weight (and everyone who wasn't good and still lost weight )

whoopsfallenoveragain · 23/08/2006 21:58

Hi All,
everyone seems to be doing well! remember that what the scales say doesn't always mean you haven't lost anything as your clothes will give you an indication too (well thats what I keep telling myself anyway )
Pepperrabit - depending what you have McDonalds isn't that bad if you go for the chicken nuggets!
I've been to cadburys world today but was good and didn't eat too much just the melted chocolate that had to be eaten straight away!
Have been good though and been for a workout at the gym!

Jahan · 24/08/2006 08:16

Hi everyone.
Went too see friends yesterday and they were all saying I had lost so much weight and that my tum had really gone down
I'm sure it was more to do with the flattering clothes I was wearing, but hey, nice to get compliments.
Pepparrabbit - so, I am not that rubbish after all. How stupid to release the dvd like that? it surely can't be right. I feel cheated. The pump session is good though.
I'm still managing to be good. I do need to exercise more though.

Dunnyjo · 25/08/2006 09:18
