It's been a bit quiet on here - I hope none of you are cheating!!!

Somanybabyseagulls · 15/08/2006 15:57

Of course, everyone welcome.

Come on everyone, how's it going? I managed to get to the pool at 7.10 today (ouch!!) but only managed 40 lengths where as Whoops I think is secretly in training for a Channel crossing!

OP posts:
whoopsfallenoveragain · 15/08/2006 16:24

Lol no chance of that the outdoor pool was freezing enough so no chance of the channel

I only managed 60 lengths last night as someone hadn't switched all of the lights on and it seemed like a scene from cocoon! and very depressing i thought loads of wrinkly old dears were going to appear!!

I've got to put my willpower to the test tonight I'm meeting a friend at pizza hut with the kids and I'm starving and feeli like eating everything off the menu! but will try and stick to salad and maybe a little taste of pizza!!

Am going to treat myself to a diet coke too as I have drunk 3 litres of water today!

Hope everyone else is getting on ok

sassy · 16/08/2006 09:24

Hi girls,

I've been eating reasonably sensibly last few days (esp as I've got my period and usually eat LOADS) and I've walked about 3 miles every other day. So not bad. Hoping the scales show this effort when I next stand on them!

Is there a weigh in day for this thread when we all post loss etc?

whoopsfallenoveragain · 16/08/2006 09:45

Well done on the walking Sassy.

I think we should have a weigh in day shall we say Sunday? that way we can't be too tempted to slack over the weekend!!!

I managed to get to the gym last night at 9.45 although it was nice and quiet! but had to burn of off the extra bits I ended up eating at pizza hut (I hate wasting food!)

Don't forget that muscle weighs more that fat so you could be toning if you don't actually lose anything on the scales!

Somanybabyseagulls · 16/08/2006 11:06

Great idea Whoops about being good at the weekend. I'm away till Monday so will post hopefully a good result then although I'm doubting it already, 4 nights in a hotel is going to be seriously tempting.

OP posts:
whoopsfallenoveragain · 16/08/2006 11:21

I think we can let you off one weekend! it is for a good reason after all!!
Have they got a pool at the hotel you can use?
I can't remember my exact weight from last week but I did weigh myself last night so will go by the last few days!

Jahan · 16/08/2006 11:21

Can I join?
I am 5'2" and weigh 10st 7lbs which is far too heavy for me. I am meant to be doing ww but haven't been very good lately. In fact have been very bad.
I don't do much exercise either. I have a Davina dvd and will def dig that out and start walking more.

pepperrabbit · 16/08/2006 21:17

Jahan - I've been lent a Davina dvd - seems pretty good, but it's a nightmare with DS1 in the house! I swear I'll do him a serious injury with an overenthusiastic lunge, and I haven't even tried the boxercise one when he's around...
I've been doing loads of walking over the last few days though no real changes to my food intake so far. Will def try very hard to make some progress by Sunday.

MrsSpoon · 17/08/2006 10:12

Everyone is doing great, LOL at only 40 lengths and only 60 lengths!

I have already weighed this week and have lost 3lbs, meaning I am now 11st 6lbs. Although we are going away at the weekend so hoping not to put it all back on again.

alittlebitshy · 17/08/2006 18:43

hey, can i come in?
I'm on the bigmofos threads, but am not far off my target now. Still neeeding my motivation though lol.

i started at about 11st7 ish in early may (i'm 5ft 2 ). drum roll..... when i weighed myself yesterday i was 9st 8. want to get down to 9.

Was really sagging (excuse pun lol) in terms of motivation, but went and bought size 12 jeans and 2 tops today and feel amazing, so need to keep remembering that!!!!!!!!!!

ALLIEBONGO - what kind of small treat are you allowing yourself each day???? am always worried that MT idea of a small treat is actually massive to someone else lol lol.

whoopsfallenoveragain · 17/08/2006 22:33

Hello everyone,

hope you've had a good day? I've just had a good workout & swim although needed it as my sis dragged me to KFC earlier!

whoopsfallenoveragain · 17/08/2006 22:34

ps come on in the more the merrier (although I still seem to be the biggest ) & I can't understand why any of you want to shift your weight I'd give anything to be 12 stone!

alittlebitshy · 18/08/2006 09:24

whoops..
WHy don't you come over to the bigmofos threads? There are a number of ladies who want to lose large amounts of weight and they will give excllent support, and it's a fab thread to be on!!!

Jahan · 18/08/2006 10:20

Please some one kick my butt and tell me to exercise some self control.
I've been doing so well losing 1.5 stones. I am in size 12s but a bit tight. I was a size 16 at Xmas. I need to be a size 10 for my height. Only a stone and half to go but I keep eating crap and appear to have no energy to exercise.
I feel so peeved off.
Anyway, start of a new day and I WILL NOT eat any junk whatsoever today.

whoopsfallenoveragain · 18/08/2006 19:12

Well done Jahan that's really good I hope I will do as well by next Christmas!!
I'm being naughty tonight and having a curry with dh but I may nip to the pool later to swim some of it off then have a good workout tomorrow!

whoopsfallenoveragain · 19/08/2006 20:26

Hello everyone,

Hope you are having a good weekend.
I'm a bit early I know but I was in the gym this afternoon and had to weigh myself!!
I have lost about 5lb since Tuesday although it was a different time of day and I hadn't eaten a lot!

pepperrabbit · 20/08/2006 11:42

I've lost 2lbs! Am very excited indeed only 1 stone and 6 lbs to go......

Dunnyjo · 20/08/2006 17:26

Hello can i join in?

I am 5'1 and 11stone 1Ib and need to lose a good 2 maybe 3 stone

Last wk i have been drinking loads of water and eating really healthy but have not weighed myself so starting from today.
After dinner i am taking an hours walk along the beech even though its raining as if i use that as an exscuse i will never get out.
Feel a bit sad walking on m own but hey i need to do something!

whoopsfallenoveragain · 20/08/2006 17:34

Welome Dunnyjo

Well done pepperrabbit that's fab

Anyone else managed to weigh themselves today?

westerngirl · 20/08/2006 23:27

hello,

I joined ww june 28th and have lost 14 lbs since then. I've drastically cut down on saturated fats and basically mindless guzzling. I also joined a gym and do ca. 3 aerobic classes a week. Notice huge difference with exercise. Like you dunnyjo I'm 11 1 (and this is after all that effort, oh god). I'm 5' 2. Want to get to ca. 9 stone (even 9.5 would be great). Best of luck all!

westerngirl · 20/08/2006 23:30

p.s. has anybody discovered skinny cow triple chocolate ice cream. They are less sinful than a blinking milky way and ten times more satisfying. This is a big treat.

whoopsfallenoveragain · 21/08/2006 07:23

Yes I bought some of the skinny cow cookies and cream ice lollies!

whoopsfallenoveragain · 21/08/2006 07:24

ps - well done on your weight loss that's fab! like you say the exercise does also help

superblue · 21/08/2006 07:58

Hi everyone - I would love to join aswell as I am in desperate need of motivation!

I am 5ft 8 and weigh over 13 and a half stone - my ideal weight would be 11 stone but that seems a hell of a long way away! Just had a baby 5 weeks ago and really regretting eating everything in sight whilst I was pregnant (although it was fun at the time). Other problem I have is that I had a caesarean and I cannot do aerobics (which I love) until 3 months so I am restricted exercise-wise which is how I have always managed to lose weight before.
Anybody got any tips on how to exercise with a newborn baby, a DH who works away a lot and ne relatives who live close by??
