7lbs in 7 days juicing diet

Are there any MNers that have done this recently? The threads I've found seem to be a couple of years old.

I started it today and am enjoying the juices but have a bit of a headache going on. I am trying to lose a stone and detox after the excesses of Xmas, a difficult January that I survived with chocolate, biscuits and wine and a very boozy skiing holiday. Enough is enough - I need to get back into god habits.

So, does anyone here do this diet or have they done it recently?

Pennies · 23/02/2014 16:58

I've just ( mon-fri) done the 5lbs in 5 days detox

Lost 10 pounds!!!

Last half of day 1, day 2 and half of day 3 had headaches
Also bad back pain day 2 and 3 and most of 4
Weeing constantly all the way through too

Googled and found it to be normal

spleenyone · 23/02/2014 17:06

I did 5lbs in 5 days quite a few times through 2013 and I love it. Lost weight each time and felt brilliant. If I could afford the fruit and veg I would do it all the time! The headaches will pass.

feelinlucky · 23/02/2014 17:11

Ooh, I need to lose weight quickly. What lond of juicing are you doing? Is there a book or website?

Joules68 · 23/02/2014 17:13

There's an app and book

It's jason vale.

Pennies · 23/02/2014 17:19

I'm doing Jason Vale. Well done Joules - sounds about how I'm going to feel.

Did you stick to juices? I'm wondering if having a vegetable salad of an evening will derail it.

What's the app called please?

Pennies · 23/02/2014 17:32

7lbs in 7 days. It has a logo of a glass of what looks like orange juice which is splashing over the top of the glass. I can't remember what is cost though.

Thanks pennies Smile
Think I might give this a go, feeling bit run down and could really do with losing a bit of weight.

Joules68 · 23/02/2014 19:06

There was a choice of SOS. A banana or an avocado. No other food

I did the exercise and stuck to it. Wasn't really hungry to be honest

RufusTheReindeer · 23/02/2014 19:09

Lost 9lbs

Didn't get any side effects but had to change around the drinks as I didn't like a lot of them

Found not chewing really hard!

cuggles · 23/02/2014 19:16

I found it ok actually, agree that not chewing something is hard and I too had to change round the juices..wasnt hungry though, will do it again in the late spring I should think...bit of a faff buying and juicing all that fruit and veg though and quite expensive. I carried on juicing 1/2 meals a day and lost a bit more!

Parsley1234 · 25/02/2014 19:03

Starting tomorrow cheating going to juice bar four juices a day only have 7 lbs to lose did weight stay off I'm hoping to do primal 21 for menu plans after

LadyVJJ · 26/02/2014 18:40

Just lost 11lbs on the 14 day turbo charge. Finished Sunday just gone, but am keeping to the twice-daily exercise, juicing and "clean food".
Both myself and DH feeling fantastic!

Joules68 · 26/02/2014 18:52

Well done!

magentastardust · 27/02/2014 15:11

What happens in the week or two after? Do you put it all back on?
I am losing weight but have stayed the same for 2 or 3 weeks so wondered if doing a 5 day or 7 day juicing diet would help for a boost and then I would go back to eating as I have been on the diet.

RufusTheReindeer · 28/02/2014 17:06

magen when I did it I didn't regain the weight for ages I used it as a kick start and lost a further stone and 4lbs. That was about 3 years ago.

Since the beginning of 2013 I gradually put a stone and 6 lbs back on, but have taken myself back in hand and have lost 1stone this year

Going to stop titting around and stay with my new way of eating (calorie counting/5:2)
