No way - I don't drink enough, full stop. I could not manage 2L of water though.

eenywifemum · 04/08/2006 14:05

I do actually - But I love water and have always drunk loads.

JackieNo · 04/08/2006 14:07

I'm much better when I'm at work than when I'm at home (like I am now) - probably not 2l though. More like just over 1, I guess.

suejonez · 04/08/2006 14:08

doesn't have to be plain water other drinks count - squash, tea coffee etc. Tea and coffee does count depite rumours to the contrary (although possibly I think you should only get max half of your water intake from caffeinated/carbonated drinks off the top of my ead)

WigWamBam · 04/08/2006 14:09

I don't drink anywhere near enough.

I did read somewhere though (it might even have been on MN) that 2 litres is more than we need to drink because it doesn't allow for the water that we get from food. Fruit and veg contain quite a lot of water, and that counts towards the total that you should be taking in.

flutterbee · 04/08/2006 14:09

If flavoured sparkling water counts then I would think I am not far off it.

I drink at least 2l of water most days. I start the day with a pint of water so that if I don't get a chance to have another drink for a while, I know I've got things started properly.

I used to take a 2l bottle of water to work with me every day, and set myself the rule that it had to be finished before I left work. That way, anything I drank at home in the evening was extra.

I don't drink tea, coffee or carbonated drinks, so my fluid intake is entirely water, with a little bit of squash occasionally.

If I don't drink enough water I get a banging headache really quickly, so that is my incentive!

Littlefish · 04/08/2006 14:31

Bloody hell, I sound really smug.

Sorry!

erm probably but pretty much all in the form of tea tbh. I dont mind plain water but jsut never seem to remember to drink it and I really should esp when cycling to and from work .

Maybe I'll start when I get back from holidays
