New thread ...

But I think between you you've turned it around - well done.

WigWamBam · 04/08/2006 22:18

I think we've scared the OP off though ... would genuinely love to know why it is that so many of her posts are anti-fat, and why she has such a problem with fat women and our wobbly bits.

the trick is to say "fat" a lot, count thetimes in one post. Poeple start getting uncomfortable with it - just point out nicely thats what the op said.

WigWamBam · 04/08/2006 22:23

I don't have a problem with the word fat ... it's what I am. Other people (smaller people?) do get uncomfortable with it though - they seem to feel they've got to use euphemisms so that they're not thought of as being discriminatory. Hence cuddly, big-boned, curvy.

. It's definitely turned into a much better discussion now.

MrsJohnCusack · 04/08/2006 22:25

I would FLATTEN anyone who called me cuddly - yuk!

am highly tickled by the phrase 'hungry bum' though. I hear something new on this place every day....

suejonez · 04/08/2006 22:27

agree WWB I hate that trying to make it cutesy thing, though I try do forgive them if they mean well. I think Overweight is a good phrase for non-fat people to use, slightly less blunt somehow than FAT but still objective IYSWIM.

suejonez · 04/08/2006 22:28

and two confession about two affairs in the sapce of two days is good going. I must be MAD, where has my British reserve gone?

MrsJohnCusack · 04/08/2006 22:29

sue, it's rubbish that he could have a convertible Aston and be crap in bed
v.disappointing

I'm enjoying the revelations!

JackieNo · 04/08/2006 22:30

. The more I see of you lot (so to speak), the more I like you.

suejonez · 04/08/2006 22:33

shall I confess to the third (and final one) on here? Don't think its counts though as his wife was in a mental hospital and they were to all intents and purposes separated.

JackieNo · 04/08/2006 22:34

We'll just call you Jane Eyre, then, sue.

suejonez · 04/08/2006 22:35

funnily enough MrsJC the crap in bed thing didn;t seem to matter (at the time - am more demanding now!). He made me feel so fabulous, he really did think I was the bee's knees. MUCH more important when you're 28 than sex!

suejonez · 04/08/2006 22:36

pmsl Jackie - oh god I never thought of that and it's one of my favorite books

suejonez · 04/08/2006 22:37

(and the car was truly divine - powder blue cream leather and cream convertible top)

JackieNo · 04/08/2006 22:38

'Reader, I shagged him' (sorry - couldn't resist)

MrsJohnCusack · 04/08/2006 22:39

oh yummy
I guess that's true - at 28 I would have put up with a LOT for a bloke with an Aston

(as it was I was 3 years married to DH who, whilst fab in many ways, doesn't drive. He had to make up for that)

you might as well get no.3 off your chest now...

flutterbee · 04/08/2006 22:42
