Ok sounds like a cliche, but my doctors scales are broken! Went to docs about a month ago (sorry its been nagging at me for this long) for a cough, but they ended up getting me on the scales, and i almost fell off them when it said what i'd gone up to (11kgs gain since last June!). Wasn't feeling great but just accepted it as over doing it at xmas and glumly trudged off. They were the old fashioned style circular dial analogue ones.
Well since i've weighed myself on my scales, my parents scales, and even a set of scales that were in a hotel room when we stayed at a wedding this weekend, and i hadn't put on that weight (as i had thought).
All of these scales were digital, so i'm more likely to believe them, plus i would imagine an awful lot more people have jumped on (literally), and abused the scales in the docs surgery.
I feel like i should say something to my doctors, but not sure how to bring it up! They keep saying i should get healthier before we try for a baby, but to be honest i'm 2 stone lighter than they think i am! Grrr!
