Hi

Love smoothie but they're so calorific and haven't got patience to make my own - surely some company has thought about making low cal ones right? Wink

I think most smoothies are quite high in calories because they're basically sugar. And not really very good for you Hmm (but so tasty though!)

It really doesn't take long to make your own, and it's much cheaper as well! You can make them without as many calories because you control what you put in them. It's a pita to clean everything though, hand held blenders just don't come clean!!

If you make your own you can add things like oats and ground nuts to slow down the rate at which the huge amount of sugar is digested.

A low cal smoothie would have to have sweetener added which would make it a not so healthy choice.

You are much better off eating whole fruit and maybe having a smoothie as a treat after a meal once in a while.
