I deserve a medal!

Went to cinema this afternoon with a couple of friends, then had to go for lunch. I had sparkling water while they tucked into some lovely looking food.
So determined to get this weight off.

Glad you staying strong too, we are going to have a wonderful summer with our new bodies x

Lillylouise · 05/03/2015 17:21

Wow! Well done! That's determination x

Oxfordmum2005 · 10/03/2015 14:53

Lillylouise, how are you getting on? Is it weigh in day today?

Mine is Thursday, still trying hard!!

roland83 · 13/03/2015 11:20

I'm on day 3 of S&S, going well.

I'm 20 st, got around 8 stone to lose. Want to lose 4 stones in the next 3.5 months if I can, then a weeks holiday where I will try and low carb, then back on it for another 13 weeks. In theory! Blush

Anyone eating slim rice? I got some from Holland and Barrett and have it with a cheesy pasta meal in the evening, plus 200g veg and I have a plate full, can highly recommend them!

roland83 · 14/03/2015 11:42

Day 4 for me.

4 lbs lost in 3 days so far.

Nearly gave up last night, convinced myself I could do low carb normally, I wasn't even hungry, had all my packs but was reading a diet article in the news and people slated VLCD and it made me think twice.

Glad to say I feel much better today and am feeling more positive.

Anyone else out there?

Oxfordmum2005 · 15/03/2015 11:48

I am here! Week 3 now, weigh in is on Thursday. Had a bit of a slip last night (I had made chilli for the family, and it couldn't resist a little of it). Hope it hasn't messed me up too much. It was really nice!
Back to it today tho. I know in the summer I will be so much happier if I am a lot slimmer.
Keep going Roland, once you have your weigh in it will give you such a boost to keep going! My husband said this morning that you can see the difference already.
Yes there is more sensible ways to lose weight, but I was fed up losing the same 1/2 stone and the regaining it. I needed to be totally food free for a while so I didn't need to think about it. It was all I ever thought about. This way I get to think about good choices when I start to eat again.
Hope that helps, and keep going!

spekulatius · 17/03/2015 21:29

Can I join you? I'm day 14 of Cambridge, was weighed today, 10 lbs in 2 weeks. Love the pasta (I love Quorn anyway) I'm having it twice a day, makes it si much easier.

thereinmadnesslies · 18/03/2015 19:41

Can I join too? I started Exante today. I'm 12st 7 and 5ft 5. I'd really like to lose as much as possible before we go to Centreparcs in mid April. I've found today ok so far, had 3 shakes and I'm not too hungry yet.

mrsmilesmatheson · 19/03/2015 07:43

Hi therein

I'm on day 17 of exante total solution and had lost 11ibs on Monday. We are going to centerparcs at the beginning of May, just me and dh and I want to lose at least another stone by then.

Are you doing total solution?

I'd bought 28 days worth of products and got given a 40% code for doing a review so have got a little top up parcel coming today as I want to try the cheese and bacon scone things and the pizza too. Might (very slightly) cheat and have mushrooms on my pizza - so excited Grin sad person that I am!

What products have you tried so far?

spekulatius · 19/03/2015 08:04

Exante is exactly the same as Cambridge, isn't it? Except you don't meet with a consultant and order online? Looked on their website last night, you pay £114 for 4 weeks, with Cambridge I'm paying around £190 so might switch after a while. I haf done Cambridge before but finding it much easier this time when it's not all shakes.

SoonToBeMrsB · 19/03/2015 09:04

spekulatius

Exante always have deals on so you'll pay far less than £114 a month if you take advantage of those.

Day one. Again. Argh.

mrsmilesmatheson · 19/03/2015 12:18

I did an 84 products for £80 recently with exante and notice they are now doing 60 for £60 and have a sale on with lots of packs at £1 plus more money off if you spend a certain amount.

Much cheaper than cambridge, really quick delivery and no hanging about or going to see a counsellor either.

Oxfordmum2005 · 19/03/2015 12:41

End of week 3 and I have lost 3lbs this week, really wanted 4 to get me into the next stone bracket, never mind next week!!
17lbs in 3 weeks is pretty good and I can feel it and see it, which makes it all worthwhile.
Good luck to the newbies, it's hard but worth it!

thereinmadnesslies · 19/03/2015 19:57

MrsMiles that's a fab loss - well done! I'm doing total solution 3 sachets per day. Day 2 has been ok actually. I'm letting myself have 1 diet coke zero as a treat cos I also have a diet coke habit.

I bought the 60 for £60 offer. Considering I usually buy a £2.60 large latte most days as well as lunch, it's actually saving me money Grin

So far I've tried strawberry, vanilla, chocolate and white choc & raspberry flavour shakes (which I like) and the porridge which was grim. I've got the bean chili and some of the chocolate bars. What else would you recommend I try?

mummymoo83 · 19/03/2015 21:53

I've started Cambridge but finding it really tough at the weekends, too much temptation. Great for weight loss but no room for a social life whatsoever! Anyone done it and worked up the steps properly? X

mrsmilesmatheson · 20/03/2015 07:34

Well done therein, I still have days which are hard but generally it does get easier after the first week or so. I made myself wait until day 13 until I got on the scales but the big losses certainly keep you on track.

Weekends are the hardest and this weekend it is a friends birthday which is already said I'd go to. It's a meal at an Indian restaurant and I've decided to have that one meal and get straight back on it afterwards. Any suggestions of what I could eat which would be least carby? No chance of staying in ketones or staying within a certain amount of calories I would think but I don't eat Indian very often and would welcome suggestions.

derxa · 21/03/2015 16:08

Mummymoo I've just started and it's bloody difficult

Weigh in tomorrow Lost 9lbs on first (last) week but doubt it will be nearly as much this week. Bought some new jeans today and had a good look at myself in the mirror. That was my motivation right there. I have 5 stones to lose to get back to a reasonable weight. I'm tending to look too far ahead
Good luck CallMeNancy

thereinmadnesslies · 23/03/2015 19:30

Day 6 here, but I still feel hungry and really tired. I've had moments of feeling like I might faint. On the plus side, I took a sneaky look at the scales and I've lost 6lb already which is good motivation to keep going.

Arghhh really annoyed this morning!

I'm doing well and have now done close to 4 weeks on exante, lost a stone so far and really pleased.

But ... For the second time this month they have failed to delivery when they said they would. They don't explain why and they don't care that they haven't fulfilled the promise their website gives.

Order meant to come today but now won't be here until Monday.

Be warned mumsnetters, this isn't good enough and would be a pita if you had run out of products.

No I don't. I guess I'll have to either come off plan or eat just chicken maybe. Any suggestions?

They have now told me that I have to wait two working days for them to "investigate".

Am really pissed off!
