Protein breakfast ideas

Hi all...

I had 2 eggs plus bacon for breakfast this morning but don't really want to (not sure if you really should) have eggs every day?

Does anyone have any ideas then for protein breakfasts?

Peanut butter spread on apple slices. Well nice.

Nuts are good. Try making your own granola. Full of good things.

I like the BBC one here. I tend to put more nuts in - chopped hazelnuts are good.

How about smoked salmon. You don't need much, but nice on buttered toast.

I had cheese and ham rolls this morning. Basically a slice of cheese (I used leerdamer) witness a slice of thin ham on top.

Roll up and eat.

Or I have a tub of cottage cheese. It must be Longley Farm though. That's the only one I like?

Avocado - not everyone's cup of tea but I like it!

There's nothing at all wrong with eggs every, but it's daily bacon or other processed meats that you'd be wise to avoid. Nothing wrong with it a couple of times a week though.

How about:
Scrambled/fried/poached eggs with fried mushrooms/tomatoes

Eggs florentine (basically eggs and spinach baked in a ramekin - though of course you could just cook some spinach in butter/garlic and add a poached or fried egg on the side)

Veg and cheese omelette - my daily staple. I have onion, broccoli, mushroom in mine, in the summer it was grated courgette and diced french beans from the garden. Peppers, peas, spinach all also very nice.

Eggs and or baked beans on toast

Egg and soldiers

Egg mayo sandwich

Peanut butter and banana, just spread the PB on the banana, or have it as a sandwich or on toast if you prefer.

Full fat greek yogurt with nuts/seeds/fruit of choice on top or mixed in, with a drizzle of honey if that's your thing.

Add ground almonds to porridge if you are a porridge person for extra protein and creamy richness

Eat cold meat/cheese with either fruit/salad and crackers/ryvita/oatcakes

Have leftovers from last night's dinner? I have been known to have dahl for breakfast Smile

Actually veg & bean/lentil soup with a bit of cheese is a rather lovely breakfast and makes me feel a bit of a rebel
