...and I'm struggling! Not with their plan, and I know it was the right thing to do, but I'm feeling very very tired today and had a thumping headache today and this morning. I know I'm probably de-toxing from cutting out my 8 coffees a day all with 2 sugars in, but it's bloody hard!

Have been eating all the right things, and enough, but am just wishing the hours away and hoping I start to feel more normal very soon!

Anyway, just wanted a grumble - I need to lose the weight (ideally about 3 stone) and I do get motivated by the thought of having to go to a meeting and get weighed, and the group person and the group itself seemed really nice and friendly, so I'll persevere!!

Thanks Dior.
I quite fancy being a WW leader but would not want to give up my current job.
I imagine it is very rewarding.
Hope you are feeling better.

Well, went to the first meeting yesterday, and was there for a couple of hours. I'm about half a stone heavier than I thought - so good job I didn't leave it any longer! Was a bit surprised at the 'pushy sales' side of the meeting, especially as I've come away with no ideas or suggestions about what I should be eating today. So....I'm getting no work done, just reading the shopping book to see what I can eat.

At these rate I shall be losing weight through stress!

Agree with Dior that the manual is your lifeline at first - I carried mine everywhere with me - just to reassure myself that the food I was eating really was 'no points'!

Went last night and have lost 3lbs! I was so surprised - I almost didn't go because I was sure I'd put on and it would have been the first week since I started. But have now lost a total of 20.5lbs in 9 weeks and it's inspired me to get back on track in terms of following the plan (i.e. not eating home made flapjacks this week!).

I think the thing about the stuff they're trying to flog is that you can try to tune out of all that, or think about the other alternatives that aren't necessarily WW products. Having said that, I now buy a packet of the Fruities each week (I have half a packet each day when I get home) and a box of the chocolate crisp bars - again, have one every evening with a coffee when the kids have gone to bed. The fact that I know I'm going to have it in the evening means I tend not to buy crap during the day!

Iam doing it too. Only have 7 pounds to lose. lost 3 last week (7 more to go)

I am struggling this week - but totatl 0 fat yoghut is a god send for breakfast with oats and a few blue berries.

And those weight watchers snacks

fairyjay · 22/09/2006 09:30

Thanks for your guidance Dior on the group - there were five of us who went together, and the general concensus has been that the group leader was poor. We are actually intending to go to another group next week, as someone has had a recommendation. Neither plans were explained to us properly, nor ideas given for meals etc.

Stuck to the Points Plan yesterday. But...it was our wedding anniversary and dh presented me with his card, and arrangements for a gourmet meal tonight. What doesn't help, is that I was trying to keep WW secret from him, so he doesn't nag me.
Bless him!

I shall be as good as I can - though I can't see how it will be a fantastic weight loss week!!

Dottie and Beetroot -
Their snacks and sweets are quite nice - and I have been counting properly!

Weighed last night - 12lbs to lose. Used points plan when losing weight after previous babies but would like to try nocount as now a SAHM and need to keep the snacks healthy during day. Major issue for me this week is that friends have booked table for us at indian restaurant tonight, any suggestions in how I can keep on track for nocount.

fairyjay · 22/09/2006 11:10

Just been talking about Indian to a friend - apparently a 'sauceless' dish is what you need to go for.

She's also told me that having power walked for two hours yesterday, she's earned herself an additional 9 points. Is this correct?

Thanks for the advice, will stick with those suggestions. I'll aim to earn some bonus points tomorrow at the gym too. Good luck for the weekend everyone, happy pointing!

franyfroo · 24/09/2006 13:35

lost 4lb on thursday, probably regaind it now. just not very good at anything diet. just sorting out clothes, none fit but refuse to chuck as one day ha ha

Dottydot · 24/09/2006 16:41

Frannyfroo - that's great! And don't think of it as a diet - it's not, 'cos diets aren't sustainable. It's a change in the way you eat which has to be long term - so keep the treats in as well as the good stuff and don't think diet!!

Went to new WW group yesterday - what a difference. The leader was great, and gave us a good talk focussing on balance etc.

And....the big bonus....a totally unexpected weight loss of 4.5 lbs. Couldn't believe it!
Sorry to brag - I can only do it on here!

happygolucky22 · 01/10/2006 21:58
