...and I'm struggling! Not with their plan, and I know it was the right thing to do, but I'm feeling very very tired today and had a thumping headache today and this morning. I know I'm probably de-toxing from cutting out my 8 coffees a day all with 2 sugars in, but it's bloody hard!

Have been eating all the right things, and enough, but am just wishing the hours away and hoping I start to feel more normal very soon!

Anyway, just wanted a grumble - I need to lose the weight (ideally about 3 stone) and I do get motivated by the thought of having to go to a meeting and get weighed, and the group person and the group itself seemed really nice and friendly, so I'll persevere!!

Well I lost 0.5lb this week - which I'm actually quite relieved about! Was expecting a gain so I'm really pleased I didn't go backwards, and I'm all re-inspired to get back to being good again this week. Am aiming for a 2lb loss this week...

thanks for the kind words of encouragement dior. i certainly did stock up before going to the first meeting .. ..i thought i was the only person who did that! have been quite good so far this week and saving some points as i am going out at the weekend and i fear self control will desert me! well done dottydot too!

i think the keeping going is the bit i need to focus on . i have been down this route before , lost a stone or so and then just sort of give up but i need to lose about 4 stone...eek!

you are right dior ..this is not going to be an overnight transformation no matter how much i wish! i am going to set small targets which i think will help. well done for your fantastic weight loss for the gain but you are still more than a stone lighter than when you started!

early days yet but managing ok. went out for breki but had poached eggs and mushrooms plus loads of water. going out tonight though and the urge to drink wine is getting stronger.

Dottydot · 16/09/2006 13:48

brilliant franyfroo - keep drinking the water and maybe drink a couple of glasses before you go out tonight so you don't have room for much wine! But treat yourself to a glass or two - is it 1 point per glass I think? (I haven't had any alcohol since I started at WW 7 weeks ago - not on purpose, just haven't got a social life!).

not doing very well. help

speedymama · 18/09/2006 10:44

Franny, this is what I do.

I picture how I will look when I reach my target weight.
I drink water before reaching for something else.
I have a picture of someone with the physique that I aspire to have (in my case, Jocelyn Pigeneau who was a Miss Fitness champion in the 1980s).

I have been trying to lose the last 10lb forever and really it is my fault. I "forget" to count my points and it did not help that I injured my knee so could not run or do other aerobic exercise. I'm now back on track and I will lose those stubbon 10lbs by December.

Good luck and stay focus.

Hi Franny - hope you're OK. FWIW I've had a v. naughty weekend food-wise, so am struggling to get back on track today. Went to the most amazing restaurant on Saturday night - all my intentions of sharing a starter with dp and not having pudding went out of the window and I had the whole lot...

But today I'm back to drinking water, had a prawn salad for lunch and have got through 2 bags of grapes to try and stave off hunger. My last 2 weeks' weight losses have been tiny (2 lbs in total), but am trying to remember they're still a LOSS! You lost last week as well - you're doing OK!

But if you're feeling down type it all out on here - helps me to do that.

i went back to ww last week. I hadn't been since before my hols 5 wks ago, anyway had put on 2 1/2 which isn't too bad but i have been really struggling to get back into it.I go on wed morning and would be really surprised if i've lost anything.

Dottydot · 18/09/2006 13:17

Sorry Franny I thought you'd lost last week but you went for the first time didn't you? The first week is sooooooo hard - and seems to last forever. I found it really really difficult and it felt like I'd had to change my life completely to start losing weight. Week 7 and I'm more in the swing of it, but still keep falling off the wagon.

Good luck and hope you're feeling OK.

fairyjay · 19/09/2006 14:10

I'm going for the first time tomorrow! Please can I come onto this thread for a bit of nagging when necessary - I suspect it'll be fairly regularly!

moomooland · 19/09/2006 14:44

Do you mind if i join you too... Been to ww since about fortnight ago would like to lose a stone to get to back into pre-preg clothes (altho ds2 now 19mths so has taken a while to get the motivation!). Wouldn't mind trying no count system.

pipsqueak · 19/09/2006 21:30
