Can someone please recommend me a HARDWEARING set of scales?

My scales have just gone mental and are refusing to switch off or reset themselves. I've taken the battery in and out twice, to no avail. They've been going odd for a while - I'm really annoyed, they're only about 2 years old and a good make (Hanson HX3019). However, they do tend to get kicked/knocked/sat on by the cats as they're in front of the bathroom radiator, so possibly that has contributed.

I need some scales that can weigh in lbs and take the knocks of being in a family bathroom with 3 very clumsy people and 3 cats - would any of you lovely MNers have some recommendations?

My weight watcher scales are great.

Thanks Betty :)

Are yours the monitor ones or the basic ones? Am looking online in Argos and they both have good reviews...

Well, mine give BMI. water, fat % although to be honest, there is no way scales alone can tell me my body fat percentage....I have my height etc etc programmed in so just take notice of the BMI and weight.

Watching with interest.

Mine sometimes tell me sweet lies. Last week they told me I was 6st 6lb. Well it was a nice thought I suppose.
