to lose weight. I am so overweight, but I cannot seem to find the motivation to get it off. I am breathless doing nothing. Dh tells me it might be asthma and should go to the doctors. I know its weight related and don't want the humiliation of being told it's because I'm fat. My joints ache. I feel like shit most of the time.
I have passed my absolutely would never get above 200lbs plateau 21lbs ago.
I don't know where to start.....

Ah op you sound so sad. It is tough being bigger than you want to be. Do you think you're looking for a few tips to start going in the opposite direction or do you want diet recommendations?

I can't help you get the lightbuld moment, but what I would say is go to the GPs. There's a tendancy amongst overweight people to assume all aliments are caused by their size and diet, and not want to deal with doctors because they'll be told to lose weight and don't want to, however there's a lot of illnesses that aren't caused by your weight. Thin people get sick too! your weight might not be helping the issue, but don't assume it's the only cause.

Go to the GPs, see what they say. If it's "lose weight" then at least you know, right now you think you know what the problem is, but you don't.

(plus it might be that lightbuld moment you're waiting for!)
