anyone got halfway and lost all motivation?

I started SW back in May, lost 3.5 stone by October. Since then I've not lost any more (I've gained/lost/stayed same) and over Xmas put on 5lb.

So now I still have 3st to lose, and it seems impossibly far off. Most people who started when I did are at target now or a few lbs off. I'm trying to stick with it, but I'm just not feeling it at all, everyone in my group are either close to or at target, or the newbies only have a couple of stone to lose.

I just feel really meh about it all, and not sure I can even lose another stone, let alone 3!

Im not in the same position exactly, im starting again having lost 3st on sw 2 years ago I stopped going to meetings and started eating in the same uncontrolled way I had for years. Now here I am with 6 st to loose. Not saying it to frighten you, but to say hpw impressive it is you have come and to keep at it. it gets harder when the weighloss slows after flying at first, maybe back to basics, are all your mwaks one third super free ? or a change from sw all together. im reading the beck diet and that says the only goal you should set it 5lb at a rine. it is helping me not to feel overwhelmed. don't give up Smile

5lb at a time sorry! All my posts are full of typos as I only get online when breastfeeding and do typing one handed on a phone.

Ah funnily enough I started SW 3 years ago, lost 4.5st, got to basically where I am now, couldn't lose any more, got fed up and stopped going - put 3st back on over the next 15 months, then rejoined last year (with 6st to lose)!

I think I'm worried about history repeating itself if I stop. But also I hate the idea of going week after week and just losing/gaining which is what I've been doing for the last 3 months!

Also part of it is I'm now a size (14) whereas when I started I was a size 20, I can go into any shops (I love clothes) but I'm still 3st off the very top of 'normal' BMI. So I know for health reasons I should keep going, but it is a struggle!

Well done to you though for trying to lose weight while breastfeeding (I used to eat everything in sight while I was!) Will you go back to SW or do it under your own steam? (I know I need the fear of the weekly weigh in!)

I'm kind of winging it really, I want to be eating healthily and really change my attitude to food. Three meals a day, no snacking, decent food and then the bit I really struggle with - portion control! Have been posting on the 5st or more to loose thread on here, finding posting each day is helping me be more mindful about food and keeps me on track.
I know what you mean about the pressure off a weigh in though. Just bought some digi scales and weighed myself this morning, outch! Truth hurts but hey 5lb at a time eh Smile You know if you feel good at a 14 just enjoy it and maintain. Its not all on the scales or bmi chart. I have never managed to get below 30 bmi. If I had lost more weight a couple of years ago I would have been to skinny for my build imo.
I want to try and use the breastfeeding to boost my weight loss as I am supposed to be burning all those extra calories, but your right I feel compelled to eat, real sweet tooth as well which I never had before.
I reckon dieting is a drag as long as its a diet, maybe you have to make this the new normal for a while and if you still want to loose in a few months do a new push from there. Enjoy shopping for your new bod from the skinny side if the store Grin
