Hi, give yourself a break, sounds like you have had a hard time lately! I had a C section 2 years ago too and thought I would never see what was below my belly button. But it does go down! Your decision depends on your time and money situation. A good start is to walk everywhere and get your butt moving! Another is to try harder to eat properly. Neither cost much money!!
Just simple stuff can help, I know you said you are struggling with food but this is a simple thing you can try, its not a diet, just a change in thinking how you eat. First of all get real about junk food, take aways biscuits, cakes, crisps, don?t keep them in the house or buy them, you will be surprised how quick you get over having them when they aren?t around. Replace with oranges, apples and pears, all low sugar fruit.
Make sure what you put on your plate is broken up as follows: make a fist, see how big it is? Imagine putting 4 fist sizes of food on your plate you. 1 fist size of carb either potato/pasta etc, 1 fist size of lean meat/protein (I mean nothing deep fried and all fat & skin cut off and no batter/coating) and 2 fist sizes of salad/steamed veg and you can't go wrong. Only eat 3 meals a day and grill or steam everything. No butter on bread (no more than 2 slices a day) and use a low cal spray oil or a teaspoon of olive oil if you have to fry stuff. Cut out fizzy drinks and cordial and drink 2 litres of water a day. One cup of coffee a day max and use skim milk, drink max 1 pint a day. If you need to snack, get out the apples, celery, carrots etc, whatever you can handle to keep the hunger pangs at bay. I am sure if you can follow this for 2 weeks you will lose a few pounds. Why don?t you try it and let me know.
Other suggestions:
You could get out and join a gym, go 3 times a week, about £40 a month and give you time for your self and meet others while losing weight. My instructor showed me how to use a Swiss Ball (big round exercise ball) for toning abdominal muscles. You could get one and do exercises at home by following a book, ball costs 9.99 fitness shop or Argos. Weight watchers is great but hard work preparing lots of low cal stuff.
Good luck, I am sure you will be successful and see some changes if you try one of the suggestions.
