Overcoming emotional eating?

I desperately need to lose weight and this year I'm determined. I'm cutting back on drinking which I know I can manage easily enough but my worst habit by far is emotional eating, when the DCs are playing up it's too tempting to reach for the biscuit tin! Any ideas to help overcome this?

I need to sort out my emotional eating too. Just can't face tackling it right now...

I recommend reading Eating Less by Gillian Riley.

Paul Mckenna has got a new book/cd out called 'overcoming emotional eating' I saw it on half price offer in Whsmiths yesterday (£6.50 if I remember correctly).
