Best crash or VLCD?

I know I should do 5:2 or Weight Watchers or MyFitnessPal but I'm going on holiday in six weeks and a stone or two off would make me feel much better. Am humungous and of course annoyed I haven't done something sooner as I need to lose about seven stone! Ha.

So can anyone recommend something? I was looking at Cambridge but I really would rather not see a distributor and just order online. Have so far see Exante and Slim and Save.

Bump. Trying to decide which is best out if the two. S&S advocate 3 pjs a day whereas Exante suggests 4. Dies this make much difference to weight kids or calorie intake?Blush

Calories would depend how many cals there are per pack. I used to do Cambridge and the group leader said there would be barely any difference in weight loss if you had four packs rather than three.

I would recommend doing Lighterlife properly.

I'm not sure about the 'councelling' but I think seeing a group really helps. I believe there is research that suggests that people who attend a group are more successful at losing weight. I also find the packs are pretty palatable. I don't have any 'shakes', just reasonably authentic 'meals' (spag bol, chilli etc) and bars.

I lost 21lb in the first 6 weeks, have had a week and a bit completely off for Christmas during which I gained 2lb and am now back on the wagon and back to where I left off. I think you could start now, take a complete break for your holiday and then lose the lot this year.

Come and visit the VLCD thread!

Oh, and I forgot the porridge. Very tasty and solves that 'where is my breakfast?' problem of VLCD. Grin

Thanks Charles.

To be honest I would rather order online today and get going ASAP! Have checked with Lighter Life website and I can't get an appt until next week. Also I think I have convinced DP to do it with me and his work would make it difficult to go to the appointments. If he does it just for the 6 weeks I know it will totally transform him, lucky thing!

See you there!

Jellypudmum · 02/01/2014 18:36

Which one did you go for Merry?

merryxmasyafilthyanimal · 02/01/2014 18:42

Exante, Jelly. Try the products before you bulk buy though. Haven't liked either the tomato soup or risotto - gross!
