Anyone else want to try and maintain over Christmas?

Over the last 3 months I've been really good and managed to loose about 1.5 stone, I am now only 3Ibs away from my goal weight and can already feel the pressure of all the Christmas goodies weighing heavy on me!

I have been in the past a horrible yo-yo dieter and this year I am DESPERATE to break the cycle! I have tried so hard recently to get under control and I don't want to blow it all over the next 3 weeks! I have a plan and I just need to stick to it and hope that it works!

Anyone around in the same boat that can offer some moral support?

We can do it! I have been the same and having left work for good a week ago I decided to start my new exercise / health routine before Xmas rather then have the 'wait until after' attitudes m&s fall into a black hole of cake.

My plan is to completely allow myself Xmas day in every form. I will stuff my face as much as I want Grin

Some of the leftovers from Xmas aren't that bad. Turkey and gammon I am planning on using for salads and any cakes I will use or give away to other family members.

I am determined to be walking the dog Boxing Day as the gym is closed.

What I find actually works this time of year is the boxes of celebrations etc. If I fancy something sweet after dinner I just have 1. That 1 will stope me wanting to eat a whole giant bar of galaxy.

Good luck and be strong. Smile

Well a few of us had planned to fast today. How did it go?

I had one too many drinks last night, so found it tough first thing when my body craved a fry up! Made it through without giving into temptation. Bizarrely, prepping for our Xmas feast was easy. I feel like I got my food fix without eating anything!

Hope the rest of you are coping and not being too hard on yourselves if not!

How's everyone doing? I had a d&v bug earlier in the week so had 2 fasting days prior to Christmas. Trying to have one today too, doing ok but not perfectly.

Exercise has fallen away, I just can't be arsed! Going to weigh tomorrow and see how week 1 of my Xmas hols has gone. I suspect a ib or 2 may have gone on. Just need to stay focused next week

I had a fast day yesterday too sweetheart. It was torture so soon after Christmas wasn't it? Just willed the day to be over.

Stood on the scales today and I've put on 0.4lb over the last week, which I can hardly complain about.

Up until last week I had been following WW, but couldn't face it over the festive period, so have been 5:2 fasting instead. Going to have a go at 16:8 fasting today for the first time.

At some point during my eight hours of eating I am going to enjoy a warm M&S all-butter, deep-filled mince pie...with double-cream!

Mazzle, yep fasting yesterday was super hard and I nearly caved so many times but I'm so glad I didn't because I got on the scales this morning and I have LOST 2 IBS!!!! I can't believe it! I was I'll at the beginning of the week which is probably the reason but I am absolutely chuffed as bloody monkeys!

Well done Mazzle for keeping to your plan

Well I'm currently 8oz over my pre-Christmas weight and hoping to shift that on the scales tomorrow.

Gorged over Christmas, but have been back on track the last few days.

How's everyone else doing?

Muzzle that's fab we'll done! Yesterday's fast day went fine until dinner time when things went a bit off track. I weighed this morning and I'm still 1ib lighter than pre Christmas. I'm allowing bad days today and tomorrow and then fasting on Thur and then getting back to an even keel.

I deck uttered my wardrobe yesterday and threw out all my fat clothes. The only clothes I have now are ones that fit me at the moment and I'm not buying more so that's a big incentive to stay stable.

I have to say I didn't think I'd be able to do it but so far I have and I'm feeling really really chuffed not to be starting 2014 worrying about my weight grin
