Congratulations on reaching target, it must mean a lot to you.

Maybe dh thinks he's going to lose you now you're slim and glamorous? And maybe the others are jealous?

What matters is how you feel, and I bet you feel really good. Hang onto that, and stuff what anyone else says!

HonorMatopoeia · 08/07/2006 22:24

I agree with WWB chopsolata, sometimes people just get used to the old you and think the new you will be drastically different somehow. I'm sure you'll find they warm to the new shape once they realise you're still you!
Congratulations on losing all the weight, be happy with yourself and show them how happy you are!

mrsbang · 08/07/2006 22:27

Well done.

It's how YOU feel about yourself that is important (although I understand that other people's comments will have an effect).

fistfullofnappies · 08/07/2006 22:28

congratulations. If you feel good, then just buy a pushup bra to keep your dh happy and ignore the others (you actually listened to your inlaws opinion about your weight????!)

Chopsolata! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Don't let the others put you down. Your self-esteem should be sky high!!! What an achievement. You've shown such willpower and determination.

Well done! The main thing is that you feel good & happy with how you look.

(I had exactly the same with a few friends of the family when I first started Uni - I didn't make any effort to lose weight, just with walking almost everywhere I went I lost a bit and was told I was looking too thin... never even went down a clothes size ... but hey ho).

ah bless you all, its so nice to have some positivity! I am over the moon with my new shape, keep looking at myself in the mirror thinking where did all that fat go.

Its just gutting when the people close to you are so negative.

Thanks for all your lovely comments
