Ok, have a big night out in 4 weeks, with dh's work. Need to feel good about myself by then. Currently 80 kg, would be happy if I could get down to 75kg, ( I know it will all come back after, but hey ho). Also need to tone up generally.

I'm SAHM, keen on exercise, but unfortunately keener on sugar. Anyone want to join me in a four week plan?

OK am in as I am on a November mission to lose some serious weight - am working out with PT 4 times a week and going to low carb with a cheat meal on a Friday.

Am 175lb which I think is about same as you .. lets go for it!

Twooter · 02/11/2013 22:06

That sounds like a good plan. What sort of things are you doing with the PT?

hi! PT is basically killing me slowly -lots of body weight exercises interspersed with loads of HIIT stuff on treadmill.. enjoying last day of pain free existence before we go for it from tomorrow.

Just been out for a motivating look at clothes I would be able to fit in at end of November... roasted a lot of veg for quick meals this week.. trying to avoid the parkin cake DD made which is just lush but am going to try sugar free - just wish she would in her baking!!

how are you doing?

CherryColl1ns · 03/11/2013 17:20

I'll join you : )

I'm 5 ft 4 and not overweight at 9 stone 10 but I'd like to make a concerted effort to lose 5lbs by November 19th. I also need to do some serious toning!

I was doing - and enjoying - Insanity , but picked up an arm / shoulder injury so I'm now doing 5 spin classes a week along with a moderately low carb / calorie counted diet 80% of the time. I take Saturdays off to eat what I want.

So here's to progress!

Twooter · 03/11/2013 20:55

I'm not doing to well this weekend as the weather'sbeen so rubbish, but come tomorrow it'll be a new start. I'm mostly swimming at the moment - trying to do 1.5 miles three times a week, but I should bd able to do a few long cycle rides as well if the weather picks up.

Food wise my problems stem from a bad sweet tooth, and the inability to decide what diet to try. I quite like the idea of the 5:2, but I always seem to be invited out for lunch on my first fast day, so I can never really get it to take shape. I do like MFP, so thatay be the best place to start.

Good to have you join us Cherry. Not heard of Insanity - will go and look it up.

tough day at home with DD as school shut so too close to lovely food - am sticking to low carb and gritted teeth so far... out for some exercise now to avoid temptation..

RubyLovesShopping · 04/11/2013 14:04

I need help too!
I realised this morning I have gained 20lbs in the last 18 months, mostly through eating too much. I have big formal event to attend in 4 weeks and need to lose some weight before then. 10lb would be nice but 15lb even better, is this realistic? Never really followed any weight loss plans before but what works for me is cutting out bread, potatoes, pasta, chocolate, cheese and crisps. Am trying to drink 2-3l water a day too. I run 3-4 times per week plus walk to school. I'm not overweight according to bmi charts but for me am very heavy.

Twooter · 04/11/2013 15:54

Well not doing too bad today( about time!). Not managed to exercise, but I'm still on track for today's intake on MFP. Will either have to go to bed early or try and fit the shred in later.

Welcome ruby!

Hello, may I join you? I was 178 lbs 8 weeks ago and am now 164 through following my fitness pal and exercising 3-4 times a week.
I have about another stone to lose (I'm 5ft 7 and was 138 lbs pre children Hmm)
I've got to the bit where it feels like I've been doing this ages but there's still a fair way to go. Time of the month bloat too so I'm ravenous and trying to fill up on liquids rather than snack.

Twooter · 04/11/2013 19:53

Hi Carly! It's definitely the slowness of it all that is my downfall. That's day 1 of MFP successfully completed., assuming I get to bed without indulging. Really really want to get through the 4 weeks, and if I done well it'll hopefully be easier to keep going.
What exercise are you doing?

OP posts:
carlywurly · 05/11/2013 20:10

I've joined a gym, run 2 or 3 times a week and do the shred when I can't do any of those!
I've just done the Tracy Anderson DVD which was impossible to follow so I just ended up flailing around the living room for 30 minutes Grin
For me, all that seems to work is cutting calories and upping exercise. I feel a lot more toned already which is good. It's definitely slowed a bit though. I normally weigh on a Wednesday and I can't see me having lost this week.

Twooter · 08/11/2013 07:19

I prefer to weigh every day, but not worry if I go up for the odd one. I really need to get more motivated, may switch to 5:2 or at least actually fill in MFP.

RubyLovesShopping · 08/11/2013 15:06

I weigh each day too doesn't bother me seeing slight increase. Couldn't sustain MFP it seemed to require a lot if info. Am doing well this week have eaten healthily and very low carbs. Should be drinking more water. Ran 4 times thus week between 3-6 miles each run depending on how much time I had.
