Find something, bag of washing/flour/sugar that weighs the same as the weight you have lost and lift it, its a good feeling.

I did this at the start of my 'diet'/healthy eating plan when I lost 2 pounds and thought it was insignificant, it wasn't and made me realise how much extra weight I was carrying around.

Have now lost 1 stone & lifted a massive bag of washing that weighs that amount.

Good idea. I lifted my 8 year old the other day and only realised afterwards that she weighs just under 5 stone, which is how much weight I've lost! Looking at the size of her, it's amazing that I used to have all that extra weight to lug about Grin.

Well done on your weightloss.

I wish I had weighed myself when I started, I was too scared. I would estimate between 2 stone 8lbs and 3 stones and still noone has noticed. Halloween Hmm

Well done muminthecity 5 stone is what I am aiming at, can I ask how long it has taken you?

The bag of sugar is a great idea, I have lost 2 and a half stone and I tried a pair of my old trousers on and I was amazed and how big they were on me - that definitely spurs me on!

Haha my DH did the reverse of this at the weekend lifting our 6 week old. His face fell as he said to baby "I've got to lose TWO of you in weight."
