Can you lose weight while pregnant?

The title says it all - I know the theory is that you shouldn't diet during pregnancy, but I am 3 stones overweight now, and I am sure I had read somewhere (the wonders of the Net) that you should aim to stay the same weight if you are overweight and pg? I would only be doing health eating, based on the weight watchers diet, but not counting points as such - more cutting down on the junk and sweet things.

Has anyone any views or sucess with this - I would sooo love to be a size smaller post baba than now!!

As far as i know adopting a healthy eating plan is ok during pregnancy. Slimming world are approved of by Royal College of Midwives. Ant diet which severely restricts or eliminates any food group should be avoided
