Seen huge threads on SW, would like to know the basics and how successfull it's been and also if anyone has done it on line. Thank you.

Hi smk - I am on SW diet and attending classes. It is a great diet and very succesful. I have been on it 7 weeks and lost over a stone (and I have cheated!) It sounds pretty complicated to begin with but you soon get in the way of it. I will copy and paste a simple idea of the plan that I did for my MIL

GREEN DAY

FREE FOODS
PASTA RICE AND GRAINS
BEANS LENTILS AND PULSES (INC BAKED BEANS)
VERY LOW FAT DAIRY PRODUCTS (MULLER LIGHT, QUARK, LF FROMAGE FRAIS)
VEGETABLE PROTEINS (EG QUORN AND TOFU)
EGGS
ALL VEG INC POTATOES
FRESH OR FROZEN FRUIT
MARMITE

HAVE 1 OR 2 FROM EACH OF THE FOLLOWING HEALTHY EXTRAS EVERY DAY

HEALTHY ?A? CHOICES

28G CHEDDAR CHEESE
250ML SEMI SKIMMED MILK
3 CHEESE TRIANGLES
6 LOW FAT CHEESE TRIANGLES
2 DAIRYLEA LIGHT CHEESE SLICES

SMALL PORTION MEAT, FISH OR POULTRY (85-100G)
2 SLICES WHOLEMEAL BREAD

There are more foods than these you can eat but I just included the thingsd MIL would be likely to eat. You can do all red days or all green day if you like or do it day about - whatever you want but you must stick to that plan that s
day. HTH Free foods you can eat in unlimited amounts.

I love SW. It's great. I can still be a piggy and lose weight.

I lost 2.5 stone on it relatively painlessly. I think it is a brilliant diet.

smk - i love sw. i recommend it to everyone. i lost 3.5 stone in 5 months. have now put it all back on since having dd but am back on track and loving it. you never feel like you are on a diet. i've lost 12.5lb so far but it has taken me 2.5 months - body most of changed since dd. have fun with it and any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks kj80, only just dipping toe in the water at the moment, think it might take some planning, so please keep an eye on this coz think I will have lots of questions! Well done by the way, keep going.

smk - i will keep looking out for you. keeping myself busy on mn distracts me from the food - otherwise i would eat all day - seriously!!! good luck. any questions feel free to ask no matter if you think they are silly ones x trust me once you hear what some receipes are you won't think your question is weird. have you done a meal planner for this week? i have got a food diary as an excel spreadsheet anyone who wants it i can email over.
