Slimfast and spots....

Hi
I've tried various diets over the years, shedding lots post babies on ww.
The weight has slowly crept back on over the past year bt for various reasons I'm not going back to ww and am giving slim fast a go.
Weight-wise it's working but my skin has got v bad.
Last night I suddenly wondered if the SF are to blame, given the huge sugar content. I wondered if anyone had a similar experience?
Thanks
Daisy

not sure if it is true that lots of sugar gives you spots - but why are you eating lots of simple sugars if you are trying to lose weight?

Because I'd never considered the sugar content before! Sure, I
know that they're sweet but was attracted by the fairly easy grab n go solution and idea of a simple meal replacement with no counting/measuring.

It could be the sugar (high GI connection for some people with spots), or an increase in dairy (made with skimmed milk and milk protein) respectable diet & acne review HTH

Milk: page 2, High glycaemic index: page 3

Foodgfood - thank you so much for that, really interesting!
Decided to ditch the shakes (and go back to counting!) and see how I get on...x
