Today is a big day for me, a turning point! I've always been 'big' however have just been getting bigger and bigger. I want to lose 6 stone- starting from today.

Anyone else in the same boat who would like to swap inspiration and tips? Today I've planned to eat healthily and go for a nice long walk Grin

Morning all Grin

Can I join too? I have about 4stone to lose, I've done it in the past so know I can! I think once I've cracked the first couple of weeks i'll be fine. DH could do with losing a couple of stone too although he refuses to stick to an actual diet plan Confused

I'm doing juice plus+

Welcome phantom, glad to have you onboard!

Aw don't be disheartened GuitarGirl, we are all here for the same reason! This is just your starting point- think of the end and when you reach your goal! Smile

And just think guitar girl- you only have 2lb to lose and that's you out of the 14's and into the 13's. I always think that's a good way to look at it!

Hi all, can I sneak in. I started with 4 1/2 stone to lose after recently having dc2. I was 16 stone post-birth but at 5ft 10 and aiming to get to 11stone 7lbs as that is a really good weight for me and I am a healthy size 12 at that weight.
My initial goal has been to get to 12 stone, thus a healthy bmi (under 25!!) for me, then focus on the toning and shifting the rest.
In 9 weeks I have lost 2stone and 2lbs so far, so am currently 13 stone 12lbs. This has been mainly through healthy eating, walking and bf. I have just started running 3 times a week as well. I haven't followed any particular diet, just kept it balanced and low fat and calories, so lots and lots of vegetables and fruit! As I am bf I didn't want to cut out any food groups etc.
Been averaging a loss of 3lbs per week over the past 5 weeks but starting to find that harder to achieve each week as more goes!
Short term goal is to get into the 12 stone region by mid-September!

Hard days are when I am at home on my own with toddler and baby and get peckish! Luckily I have banned all unhealthy snacks from the house and DH is very supportive!

Just need to keep up the motivation now!

Just went into cafe Nero as the kids wanted a drink, passed by all the coffee/milk/caramel/muffins/chocolate etc & thought I would try to choose a healthy option. Chose the Raspberry, Orange & Green Tea fruit booster. Paid, sat down & tracked it - 320 calories wtf. My entire macaroni cheese dinner was that the other night!

Shared it with the kids so only had half but still!!

Long walk this morning with the dogs, then Day 8 of Gorilla workout.

If you struggle to find time for strength & toning stuff and hate the gym, have a look at the Gorilla app. There's 3or 4 fitness levels (I'm on 1Hmm) and each workout takes no longer than about 10 minutes, each exercise is demonstrated if you need it, and there's a real sense of achievement as you tick off each workout. They can be done at home with no equipment and at the moment it's lovely doing them out in the garden. Sorry neighbours!

Today's workout for me was 10 squats and 10 modified press-ups. Easy enough. But 10 sets!! Now have an aching arse and can't lift my arms....

Managed to eat a normal supper last night, though I kind of blew it at lunch time by eating the world's tastiest largest tuna mayo sandwich (I was using up left overs ... next time the bin can get fat).

And so far today it's going well. Having salad for lunch, but find it difficult to come up with ideas for healthy/low cal lunch, and that's not helped by having three DC to feed who need calories! Any suggestions?

sounds good cq - at the moment i seem to be living my life according to the excessive wine consumption app - maybe this would be a good substitute!

Yesterday wasn't too bad for me, today was meant to be my first day of slim fast but after pending the morning in town with my DM we went to mcdonalds Blush however focusing on the positive, i'll still come under my daily allowance for everything but sodium on MFP.
How is everyone else doing?

If anyone else wants to add me, my MFP username is expatspoiltbrat

Now going off to MFP to add some drivel facts to my profile.

Had a good day today and still seem to have enough calories in hand for a wee snifter later tonight. Result Grin

Sending strength and resolve to one and all.

phantom - sorry! Very satisfying though isn't it?!

I've sat at my pc too long this evening and now have actually seized up after doing Gorilla 1.8 this morning. Grin

And I have decided not to open a bottle of wine, even though I have calories in hand tonight - I shall bank them for another moment of need.

I'd be feeling great if I didn't hurt so much.
