Beetroot - you don't have to live off fish/veg and coffee you know! One stone could go in 7-9 weeks if you did WW.

WW online is brilliant. I've just larded up a little bit recently - nothing much but am not particularly tall but have medium'ish frame (ok, chunky, basically). I'm trying the "no count" plan where you basically eat as much lean meat, fish, fruit, veg, pulses etc as you want and then a small "allowance" (points) for other things. Of course if you are crafty you can cut back to the bone on things like butter, olive oil etc and splurge on WINE and still lose weight. YAAAAY. I lost about a stone after DS doing this in about 8-10 weeks and it was literally painless.

i am not doing ww, i prefer to go down the healthy eating, raw food gi type route.

Plus Beety, you would be better off avoiding coffee altogether, as it makes you retain water. Drink water only...?

You need to make sure that you feel satisfied after every meal, otherwise the temptation to binge will make you stop trying to diet. I too am doing WW No Count. Not saying that you have to join, of course, just that the NC plan is fantastic. You fill up at every meal, and still have some allowance for treats. The concept is to eat foods that are low-fat, but filling, like veg, lean meats, starches (except bread) etc and make the food interesting, so that your eyes are satisfied too.

god beety you're more hardcore than me. I'm eating nothing but fruit and veg and not drinking alcohol but spinach juice is a step too far! I will shift this stone by Aug 1 or die in the attempt...

You don't have to do it this way Beety. The weight won't stay off unless you change yuor eating habits, and you can't live on fruit and veg for the rest of your life...

Not fish and chips though Grin

i do go through phases of fasting adn over eating. I am not fat. I look fine but to me I know I need to be a stone lighter. I am tall, so I can carry it..(just)

If I could eat salads all my days I would be happy. Ilike to eat healthily, I enjoy the feeling.
