I can see why breakfast is you. I think I am finding, since having breakfast each day, I'm eating MORE not less during the day. Is this just me being mad?!

Nope, me too. Wakes the stomach up I think. I try to avoid.

I've always found exactly the same....breakfast makes me hungry before lunch (even if very sensible porridge!) but no brekkie and easily get to one ish before feeling hungry!

I don't eat breakfast. Most days I get up around 7/7.30, and can't stomach the thought of food until around 10/10.30. By this time I am at work and its easier to just wait and eat lunch at 12.30/1.

At times I have gone through periods of eating breakfast at work at 10-ish, but if anything it seems to make me even hungrier at lunch time!

Totally agree.
Breakfast is so passé. Really, nobody's doing breakfast any more.
Makes me hungry. Takes up valuable time to prepare and eat. Creates mess.
On the 5:2 thread (bestest woe ever) most ppl are reporting that skipping breakfast is generally fabulous.

Weekend? Yes to breakfast as a treat.
Monday to Friday? No thanks.

THe only reason you need breakfast is to make profits for the food companies

if you don't like it, don't eat it

Yes me too. I have a nana around 11am. That does me til about 1.30.

Never been able to stomach it, ever since I was a teenager. For a while I forced myself as thought not eating it was a bad example for the children - also all the weight loss advice said it was the most important meal of the day, boosted metabolism, etc.

But it just made me ravenously hungry by 10am when I'd never have been hungry before. All other things being equal, I put weight on when I eat breakfast. So I've gone back to my natural way of being breakfast-free and telling the children I have my breakfast "later". If I get a bit peckish mid-morning I just have a plum or something and I'm fine until lunch.

I eat more over the course of thr day if I eat breakfast. Besides, I'm never truly hungry for it so it's just empty calories for me. I generally skip it on weekdays and have sociable brunch on weekends.

If I eat breakfast first thing it stimulates my appetite and I'll be hungrier before lunch than if I hadn't bothered.
