All I can think about is food!

I'm on my second day (well first after failing yesterday) of changing my eating habits and all I can think about is food. I'm on the loo and food food food, playing with dd and food food food, watching TV and food food food. Its driving me mad! Is this something that will change as I get used to it?

It will get easier - especially when you start seeing results. Good luck!

I disagree. I'm six months in, and two stone lighter, and still all I can think about food!

HeySoulSister · 16/06/2013 15:15

what 'food' are you thinking about?

AmyFarrahFowlerCooper · 16/06/2013 15:19

Everything and anything bad basically! I'm an emotional eater and usually look forward to all bad food when dd is in bed to cheer me up and so I'm thinking about tht and then remembering I don't get to have any. I keep counting down til the next meal too. I'm not hungry hungry, but its just I want to eat! And then I feel down because its not the usual stuff I will be eating when I finally do if that makes sense?

Try rice cakes. They have become my friend. You can get them in lots if nice flavours.

I'm borderline. I know my problem, I need to keep off the computer and exercise. My BF always grins at me when the hippos come on before a BBC programme. He chortles "look, little fat pipkins". I grin too and ignore him. I love food, I love to eat it, talk about it and even love looking at pictures of it. No help I know but good luck with the diet.

What about trying the 5:2 diet? You have to be super-strict with yourself for two days a week, but that is easier than being a little bit strict with yourself for seven days a week.

It's making me feel like I'm going insane! I'm starting to think maybe calorie counting isn't going to work for me and maybe ill be better off with SW instead. But it sounds so expensive. Oh graaaaargh this is so hard!

Sw isn't expensive. You can eat as much past, rice and potatoes as you want...all really cheap. Your veg and fruit bill will go up, but you won't be buying tons of unhealthy stuff so might save there?
