Installed band in Feb, seemed to be working well. Lost about 7 pounds. We had a traumatic family bereavement in March and since then I have not managed to stick to the rules anymore.

I am wondering if maybe I need to re-read the whole book and start the process from the beginning again. Has anyone had experience of it working and then struggling?
I do feel quite low at times at the moment and I do definitely think I am comfort eating. Does the Havening thing really work?
Feel that I am losing control of my eating again and am very keen to start getting a grip before I gain weight.

Wish I could offer encouragement .... :(
I SO wanted this to work for me. Followed instructions to the letter. Religiously read ( and re-read book ), listened to cd, watched DVD, installed and re-installed band and can honestly say that I've not lost an ounce. I do find listenening to the cd helps my insomnia however ...!

Sorry, meant to say - I'm sorry about your bereavement.

Havening really works! (for me anyway) The first few times it made me laugh because I felt stupid Grin but now it just works.

What I find difficult is wanting to eat, but not being hungry - if I was eating from boredom how should I fill the time now?

Maybe I need to give the DVD another go. At the time, I didn't really consider myself to be a real comfort eater, but I guess I am. Been under a huge strain recently after the sudden death of my Fil.
I guess that what the Havening technique was designed for, times of stress.
