I just take it slowly. Don't deprive yourself of anything for too long otherwise you just give up and go back to normal eating!

Well Done for losing 4 stone!

Seeing (or wanting to see) the numbers go down kept me very motivated when I was losing weight. Then, joining support threads on here.

glitternanny I have gradually been chipping weight off for the last couple of years or so. I find I have to have "headspace" to focus on losing weight. If too much is going on or I am very stressed it is just not a priority. If you are losing motivation rather than beat yourself up focus more on maintaining your weight and not gaining rather than losing. Sometimes with a lack of motivation I've found a few pounds have crept back on.

Different things will motivate you at different times. As you are working so much maybe have more prepared or ready-made foods at home where you know the calorie-count so you don't have to think too much? Focus on your health and drinking lots of water.

I have just started to focus on losing another 5 pounds so we could have a competition if you like!

Thank you honey - I may take you up on that

I've always been one for not sticking to a diet very well... life gets in the way - but sigh its really getting to me and its not helping me feel better about myself at all

How much would you like to lose?
Get a large strong bag.
Put packets and tins of food into the bag so that it weighs the same amount.
Carry the bag up the stairs and back down twice.
Then put it down.
Think how fantastic you will feel that much lighter every minute of every day.
Your knees, ankles, hips, back, shoulders will all thank you.
