Hi im new to a this but Im hoping someone may be able to help me...
Im a mum of two and weigh 14 stone...ive always been curvy but since having my babies and hitting thirty ive got bigger :-(
Ive lost 2 stone since my youngest birth 18mths ago but im stuck at this weight.

Im due to go on holiday at the end of june and am dreading it!! All i can think abt is getting my fat knees and thighs out i dont want it to ruin my holiday but its consuming all my thoughts.

Need to find a way to either lose another three stone in a month (!) Or find some confidence. Plse help!

I know how you feel - I'm the same. What I am going to do is treat myself to some suck-me-in swimming costumes; I managed to get a great one from Matalan last year. I'm also going to get some nice sundresses and sandals. I normally dress awfully because I feel awful, but you can get nice clothes in bigger sizes, so maybe investing in a few things would make you feel a bit better?

I feel the same - so cross with myself that I haven't got my act together and lost any weight and yet still I can't stop eating crap

I know how you feel, OP - I've spend much of my life stressing about weight, yoyo dieting etc. My thoughts:

  1. give yourself credit for losing 2 stone - that's a lot of weight to lose: WELL DONE!
  2. think of a realistic target weight to try and reach by the time you go on hol (half a stone?)
  3. check out myfitnesspal.com (threads about it on here) - it's free and gives you a target number of calories to take in each day. You type in what you've eaten and what exercise you've done each day - really makes you stop and think about what you're eating! I've found it's helped me lose all the baby weight (2 stone) in about 2 months - I am bfing though which helps.
  4. any exercise you can do will make you feel better about yourself- even just a 20 min brisk walk a day. If you're up for a challenge do the 30 day shred - it really works.
  5. nice new haircut.
  6. book in for a bra fitting just before you go and treat yourself to a nice new bra. A well fitting bra takes pounds off - I recommend Bravissimo.
Good luck Smile

Glad its not just me that feels like this!!

The thought of getting my legs out terrifies me!! Ive been thinking abt getting a spray tan before i go as when im browner i dont feel as hideous lol but read so many mixed reviews abt it going blotchy in the pool etc..

Ive been doing the 30 day shred for the past three weeks but havent lost much weight altho my clothes feel abit looser ita weird!!

Deffo think i will set a target to drop something to work towards.

Im also secretly hoping the hotel will be holding a larger lady convention or something the week we r going so i wont look out of place haha.

yes 30 day shred won't have much effect on the scales as you're replacing fat with muscle which is heavier. But losing inches is better! I dropped a couple of dress sizes from doing shred but virtually the same weight! Good luck with prepping for your hol- hope that you manage to boost your confidence so that you enjoy yourself and don't fret the whole time x

Its so strange how that happens isnt it. The more im researching the more im finding more people saying the same thing abt shred.
Thank you, im gonna try real hard x

No one will know you on holiday. You will never see them again so don't worry what they might think of you

Yeh your right, my partner is super supportive but ironically its him i have the issue/worry with seeing my body!
