Holly, sorry to hear that. A stone and a half is not a lot so take heart.
If you are comfort eating I think that is emotional eating and I am not sure a diet will help you in the long run. I would recommend reading a bit on the Internet (or a book if you can find a good one) on emotional eating.
You could Google and find some stuff ... e.g.
www.walesonline.co.uk/news/health/10-ways-stop-comfort-eating-2030288
NHS Choices website has some general stuff.
I found Eating Less by Gillian Riley helpful.
www.amazon.co.uk/Eating-Less-Goodbye-Overeating-ebook/dp/B005H0CALU/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1368227193&sr=1-1&keywords=eating+less+by+gillian+riley
Take a look at amihungry.com/mindful-eating.shtml
"Mindful Eating is Eating with Intention and Attention.... Start by recognizing whether you're hungry before you begin eating. If you aren't hungry, you won't be as interested so it will be harder to stay focused. Besides, if a craving doesn't come from hunger, eating will never satisfy it."
If you only have a small problem with food you may be able to figure out what is making you overeat and eat less.
I think a positive self image really helps. I am pretty sure there are plenty of clothes that suit you and that you look great in.
Personally, as a Christian, I have had some councelling/prayer ministry to deal with the issues of why I over eat. These orgainsations were helpful to me.

I really hope you find some answers that help you and I am certain disliking yourself because you are overweight (a bit) is not going to help.
The very best reason to get the right weight is to be healthy because you love life and love your body and want to keep it healthy and the best way to do that is to eat healthily and exercise. So if you do find a diet that you like make sure it is healthy eating, natural unprocessed food if you can, lots of veg etc and nothing faddy. Remember you are worth it. Yes Holly is a lovely name. So is Roshbegosh!
All the best.
