Hi. I have 8.5 stone to lose. I have lost 4 since 8th Jan this year on Weight Watchers plus 5x hard gym sessions per week. So I have 4.5 to go.
I am aiming to lose 3lbs per week. I know that is a lot, but I have my reasons (to do with TTC etc). I have managed this so far but it is a lot of work to get that kind of weight off on weight watchers. The exercise is literally shattering me every week.
I'm wondering if I should try low carbing instead but I'm not sure if it would suit me:
- Anecdotally people seem to lose more on low carb than low calorie. Is this true? What is a weight loss for a week after the first couple of weeks where there might be a lot of water weight etc.?
- The advantage of WW for me is that I can have half a twix etc when I crave one and I worry how i'd cope on a low carb where I can't have stuff like that and would that lead to a binge?
- On the other hand I do feel like I'm counting down the hours till I can have something sweet and getting more obsessed with sweet treats than ever before on WW and I wonder if low carbing would break that?
As you can see I really don't know what to do and would appreciate any advice or experience. Thanks
