My hands are up. Am having really busy week, trying to finish an online course before weekend, people coming to view house, sick children and dh has been working all the time. Cup of tea for breakfast and then M&S hoisin duck wrap for lunch and think we are having takeaway for tea as dh got night off - bad bad bad!! But I have done a lot of walking this week.

princesspeahead · 27/01/2004 13:22

no, I'm doing pretty well this week I think. last week was pmt and then just mt! but now that's over feeling better. and less bloated and eugh-y. and enjoying doing my pilates, think that's helping too.
thursday will show, though...

JanHR · 27/01/2004 13:32

Kayleigh · 27/01/2004 13:46

Beccarollover, saw your kind invite on the Slimming World thread. Can I join you on here ? The slimming world thread has gone a bit quiet and I am in dire need of support. You all seem to be doing really well too.
I am getting weighed on a tuesday though - is that ok ?

Hulababy · 27/01/2004 14:48

I am fine through the week, just weekends I struggle at as we tend to eat out all the time. Just feel in a rut at moment as the weight loss seems to be really slow now - just 1lb last week and maybe the same (if that) this week. Keeping within my points for each week but have gone over the daily limits both Friday's past. Goping to try and be stricter this week. My ball is a week on Friday so want to make a really big effort to lose more for that.

Beccarollover · 27/01/2004 14:50

Kayleigh of course you can join - could you send me the results of your tuesday weigh in on a wed night or thurs just so I can keep everyone together?

OP posts:
Beccarollover · 27/01/2004 14:52

Hi all. I am doing slimming world and have lost 6 and a half pounds in 3 weeks. Still have at least another stone and a half to go. Know i'm going to have a difficult weekend as my period is due early next week and i will have bad chocolate cravings (even worse than normal !!!).

Kayleigh · 27/01/2004 14:56

marthamoo · 27/01/2004 15:30

Beccarollover · 27/01/2004 15:49

mrcheese you say the nicest things to me - such an ego boost

OP posts:
Beccarollover · 27/01/2004 16:01

actually........also have been considering giving slimming world a go - has anyone done both which did you prefer?

OP posts:
Lisa78 · 27/01/2004 16:09

has anyone else noticed how many foodie names we have here - Coddy went to cheese, for a start, PrincessPEAhead (tho can't say I want peas quite as much as cheese!) and Beccarollover always makes me think of appleturnover et al

Beccarollover · 27/01/2004 16:11

My name conjures up lots of images of food

Sausage ROLLS
Swiss ROLL
Cadburys Mini ROLLS

etc etc

Shall we all change our names to something more virtuous to keep us on track!

Lisa78 · 27/01/2004 16:16

Becca - you need a slap for that!!!!!!! Am hungry again now!

Thanks Demented - but not tackling it as vigilantly (is that the word I am looking for?) as the rest of you, I am just trying not to pig out on really fattening foods like pizza and chips, chocolate, cheese to excess! I daren't try anything too restrictive incase it affects the feeding, so I am hoping that walking the dog a bit more often and not eating chips and cheese on toast at every available opportunity might help. But I do like my cheese!!!!!

Kayleigh · 27/01/2004 16:21

I've done weight watchers and slimming world. For me slimming world wins hands down because of the amount of "free" food. If you have a large appetite this is the one for you !

Beccarollover · 27/01/2004 16:22

Kayleigh, isnt it true of slimming world though that you cant deviate at all off the diet so for example if you realllllllllllllly fancy fish and chips is there anything you can do?

OP posts:
Kayleigh · 27/01/2004 19:04

If you want fish and chips you could have them. You can take batter off fish and the fish would be free on a red day so you would count the chips as sins. Or you can have it on a green day, count fish as healthy extra plus sins and chips would be less. Or on a green day you can make your own chips which are delicious and are completely sin free, so eat as many as you like. There are ways and means !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kayleigh · 27/01/2004 19:05

or you have "flexible sins" on that day. I know it all sounds complicated, but once it has been explained it isn't hard. And there are loads of us here that can help you.

Beccarollover · 27/01/2004 19:07

hmmm cant decide what to do - quite appealing is the "newness" of slimming world, always stick to novely things!

i will have to find out if there is a class i can go to - limited as to when i can attend due to babysitters

Kayleigh · 27/01/2004 19:10

If you look at the website you can put in your postcode and email address and they send you the 10 nearest classes to you. A lot of the morning ones are very child friendly if you have younger kids.
