Morning Chiefs.

Geek fabulous.

SDP now that is impressive ... if it's out of the fridge I have to lick it at the very least!

Kerela - great stuff .... keep at it and you'll start moving again.

Double Phew that DS found the wandy-thing for the wii. I would agree with Bssh that just walking is fecking brilliant. My DH reached his target last week and he fasted and walked. He walked places he would normally drive - not even very fast - and the weight fell off him. Because he didn't start fasting until after he'd lost a stone I can also recommend calorie counting and walking. Basically, he was walking an hour a day - so lunchtime or to the station.

I'm fasting again today after a mere three hours sleep

DoubleMum · 13/03/2013 09:37

Well done on the binge-refusal Sylvia. Great work Choosing Your Hard!!

You had as good a night as me then Tea. DD much better and back to school but poor DS has been coughing constantly since 4am and is still going. I stopped off on the way back from the school run and bought some icecream for his poor throat. Now I just have to stop myself eating it.
So I still have lounging DCs blocking my Wii TV usage. And I can't go out for a walk. Tomorrow and Friday are chocka, and DD's birthday at the weekend, but at least it will keep me busy.
I have decided I'm much better if I can not eat until lunchtime. If I have breakfast, I get big munchies around 10-11. Peculiar.

double I find if I have breakfast early I'm the same mid morning. I try to eat around 9/10 am (ideal on a work day as I have a break at 10). At work I skip lunch (too busy as I work in a kitchen), but at home I'm trying to have a big lunch then small dinner. Will be having pasta bake tonight as ds has cooking at school.

My dh has annoyingly lost his weight v quickly. He had quite a belly going on but plays golf 3 or 4 times a week now and the weight has just vanished. I guess it's a lot of walking even if it is slow!

BsshBossh · 13/03/2013 10:42

Me too Double, it's most peculiar. I never was a breakfast person until I fell for the "official" advice to eat it. When I ate it, I always wanted to snack midmorning but now I always skip it I'm usually not bothered about eating until 1 or 2pm. I do love breakfast foods though so will often eat breakfast at "lunch" iyswim or as a mini meal when DD has her dinner at 5pm.

Well done losers, and big congrats on the baggy trousers!

Sylvia big respect, the vey definition of choosing your hard, bloody well done you.

I've done another sneaky weigh-in today as yesterday was actually a day early. I'd had to weigh early last week due to going away so did the sme this week without thinking. Another half a pound off so that makes a pound off over the week in total. More than happy with that.

Well done to all the runners, that's truly impressive, just the thought of running absolutely terrifies me. My friend pinned something yesterday which made me laugh, it's funny and a bit inspirational at the same time.

I run. I'm slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter, but I run.

DoubleMum · 13/03/2013 11:24

Sylvia men always seem to lose weight much easier than women, there must be some biological reason. Gits.

Morning Chiefs.
I've not been on here for ages
I've mostly been logging on MFP, but have been busy this weekend bloody work and beginning of this week.
I've posted on MFP I'm on a train to a conference today, until Friday. So, eating challenges ahead, but I suspect plenty of time to catch up.
Can I just say how absolutely bloody brilliant you are all doing. I must admit when the first thread started in January, I didn't think so many of us me most definitely included would preserve so long and do so well.
I seem to differ from a lot of you, I really, really need breakfast or I get too hungry and binge. However, not keen at eating at 6 in the morning, so I take my cold porridge to work and eat it as soon as I get in, usually about 8ish. Sometimes, I actually have to do some work first and then I get a bit twitchy that I'm not going to get chance to eat.
Some great exercise going on here. I wanted to do day 3 of week 4 of C25k last night, but just didn't get time bloody work, children and Sainsbury's this time. I had then planned on not exercising today and Friday and doing C25K on Thursday. That's now gone to pot, so I am hoping to run today and Friday. That does mean Friday's run may have to be early in the morning, the morning after a gala dinner....um, yes, well, we'll see how that goes. Hmm
Keep choosing your hard Chiefs. Grin

BambieO · 14/03/2013 08:00

Good luck with C25K wisekneehair

Lizzylou · 14/03/2013 09:21

Good luck with c25k Wise!

I have lost the grand total of 1lb, though I may weigh again tomorrow for a sneaky update, feel the scales should be going further downwards!

Been very on track this week, though it is my DS1's birthday today so am on cake avoidance tonight.

kalidanger · 14/03/2013 13:03

Hi there, chiefs. Fantastic going on the progress and exercise Smile

I had a wobbly few days as I got totally confused about what my calorie goal had reset itself to, so I reset it then compulsively checked it and got further confused through gaining calories by exercising and... and... oh god, it all seemed awful for a sec but I'm OK now. Really had a mental moment thinking that if it's going to gift me an extra 200 cals a day then I'm going to fail for sure ShockHmmGrinBiscuit

Aaaaand, now I have reverse body dysmorphia. Lost 2lbs and I'm all poncing around in a mini-skirt (with thick black leggings), thinking I look like something fab Grin

BsshBossh · 14/03/2013 13:27

Kali I'm sure you look fab :) Well done on the weight loss. You too Lizzy (and happy birthday to your DS1). Fasting day for me today. Going okay so far but the freezing cold makes it hard work sometimes. This is TOM week for me and yesterday I ate my calories almost entirely in chocolate. I kid you not, chocolate animal biscuits, creme egg, Lindt chilli chocolate, Ambrosia chocolate custard, several big spoons full of microwae chocolate sponge pudding my DH so thoughtfully Hmm decided to make after dinner. Had a healthy eg curry and fruit in between and was under my TDEE calories for the day but really Blush. Hey ho, good job I'm fasting today - my body needs a deep clean. Only liquorice tea and water all day then veg curry (dal and marrow with chickpeas curry) and rice for dinner.

BsshBossh · 14/03/2013 13:29

*veg curry not eg curry
*microwave not microwae

"v" letter sticking on keypad.

DoubleMum · 14/03/2013 13:57

Bleurgh. That is all.

kalidanger · 14/03/2013 14:04

Nom Bssh Chocolate Day then veg curry. Sounds lovely. I picked up an Easter Egg the other day and put it straight back down again - it's a whole days allowance Grin

S'up DoubleMum?

DoubleMum · 14/03/2013 14:15

Just have the lurgy both DCs have had. It's a bit yuk.

OP posts:
kalidanger · 14/03/2013 14:29

Is it a good-lurgy (not feeling hungry) or a bad-lurgy (feed a fever)? You poor thing Sad

kalidanger · 14/03/2013 14:37

Kit Kat Chunky Easter Egg Sad

BambieO · 14/03/2013 15:12

OMG who would have known! That's incredible

BsshBossh · 14/03/2013 15:15

fat chance

DoubleMum · 14/03/2013 16:49

That is hideous. Shock
Yesterday it was good-lurgy, today it's bad-lurgy. "Luckily" I have been kept very busy. Just got DD's birthday cake too, so more cake to be avoided.
Plus called in at MIL's sandwich shop on the way home from school and not only did she give the children baguettes (DD likes smoked salmon & prawn, can't think where she got her expensive tastes) she gave DH & I lovely quiche and a baguette. Dread to think how many calories they are, but she was only being lovely so I didn't have to cook. (Contrary to Mumsnet Folklore, my MIL is lovely.)

Cripes, did my first 'class' at gym today. Was sort of mixed dance thing, Zumba, flamenco, American twist, all sorts.
Things I learnt:
I look ancient in the big mirrors
I have no rhythm
I look ancient
I dance like a mum at a wedding disco

Sigh. However despite all that, I actually quite enjoyed it and far less dull than the treadmill!
Will be back....

dinkydoos · 14/03/2013 23:07

Oh and did I say

I look ancient!

BsshBossh · 14/03/2013 23:25

Grin dinky. I bet it was the flourescent lights that made you look old!

Tabbykat · 15/03/2013 07:28

Dinky I bet it felt good to be giving it a go???

Due to do the third run in this c25k malarky today - pouring with rain and really don't fancy it but this weekend is manic and won't have any other time, so will just have to suck it up and get on with it. Gosh, I wish this weight loss was easier.....
