Is today weigh-in day? Haven't lost anything since I sent my details in - I'm officially starting today so much less cake from now on :( Just my luck that we're going to a birthday party tomorrow afternoon - how can I resist birthday cake?!

busywizzy · 02/05/2006 09:21

Well, I've lost half a pound but still not down to 10st. Thought I'd been good but looking back over the week, probably not as good food wise as I believed Blush Have been doing lots of exercise though (cycling, running) so hopefully next week [hopeful emoticon]

Lost 1lb. Have discovered two new really nice restaurants. Given my DS's reluctance to sit in a chair/ high chair at a restaurant, have cut down eating out at a restaurant but these 2 restaurants do takeaways. Been 4 times in the last week. 1 lunch and 3 dinners. DH said that if I cut down on these takeaways and my cake-eating I would have attained my target by now. But they are they only way I can keep going with the 'diet' the rest of the time.

busywizzy · 02/05/2006 11:29

My DH makes helpful comments like that Chickenrice Grin Well done on loosing a pound - hopefully one day soon, I'll be able to post that too!!!

pindy · 02/05/2006 11:58

Lost 1lb this week - think that makes it 10st 10lb - aaarrrgg - gonna be really good this week!

Good luck everyone

:)

Smalline · 02/05/2006 12:36

Lost 1lb this week, now 12 stone exactly. I'm going to find it hard to stick to my 'healthy eating' over the next 3 weeks, I'm off work to look after the kids whilst my Childminder is on holiday. Good luck everyone, sunnier days are just around the corner:)

jambuttie · 02/05/2006 12:46

1lb off this week 12 st 4lb for me

wilbur · 02/05/2006 13:07

Sorry, grovel, sorry etc, haven't posted for a few weeks, been up to m y ears in chickenpox and all sorts of other terrible ailments. I can;t remember where I was last post (going back up again I think Blush) but as of this morning I weigh 11st 7lbs and I am going to pay attention to what I eat this week, big time.

HeavyBee · 02/05/2006 14:19

Oh, boo, hiss, it's been a cakey sort of week and I've put on a pound. This pound is going up and down but I will try harder. Sigh.

worrypot · 02/05/2006 18:59

1lb off for me. Still feel a bit wobbly. Well, a lot wobbly actually. Never mind, at least I am moving in the right direction at last.

Well done to all who have lost - here's to a good week for everyone Smile

worrypot · 02/05/2006 19:00

PS I used to be teacups but have had a change of name to match my fretful status!!

tortoise · 02/05/2006 20:55

Stayed the same this week.12st 4. Ive been really bad so expected alot worse!Grin

Im trying once a week (for now!)to carry dd2 1.9 in back carrier to do school pick up.Its hard work but she loves it and i havnt used it any where near as much as i planned to when i bought it!
Maybe i could do it twice a week!Grin

busywizzy · 02/05/2006 21:07

Tortoise, that's a really good idea. We bought one for DS a while back and funnily enough, DH and I were talking at the weekend about whether we'll use it again. Feel shamed into getting it out the cupboard now Grin

Been very good today - I can be 10 stone again, I can be 10 stone again, I can be 10 stone again Grin

I forgot to post yesterday. Sign of stressed life. Think Ill bow out for a bit ladies. Need to sort a few things out before I can do the diet thing. Im going lighter than I started so theres a plus point to end on. Thanks for all the support I got from you all - goodluck if youre carrying on.

busywizzy · 03/05/2006 14:23

Figleaf, hope things get sorted for you soon.

OK, we seem a bit light (pardon the pun) this week in terms of who's posted. So far, I've had Chickenrice, Heavybee, Jambuttie, Pindy, Smalline, Tortoise, VioletElizabeth, Wilbur and Worrypot. Is that it or are there still some more to come as I was going to tidy up the chart as I'm starting a new one. Don't want to delete anyone on the assumption they're not continuing and make a mistake.

busywizzy · 04/05/2006 14:02

OK the chart is on it's way to you all. In case you can't read it (as we haven't got Figleaf to do the PDF version now), I've done a summary below of total weight loss for everyone who's lost half a stone or more.

Bubbles2904 - 1st 12lbs [wow]
Chickenrice - 1st 4lbs
Tortoise & Dustanyone - 1st 3lbs
Jambuttie - 1st 1lb
Busywizzy & Sleepyjess - 13lbs
Misdee - 10lbs
Alliebongo - 8lbs
Heavybee - 7lbs

Between all the people who are currently posting, we've lost 11st 11lbs. Isn't that amazing Grin Well done everyone - keep up the good work especially now the nice weather is on it's way to the UK. I just might manage shorts this summer Grin

Well the day started out good. I dropped DD at school and decided to put DS in his buggy and go for a walk around the village cricket green. Walked around three times (about a mile and a half) but then DS fell asleep and it was such a beautiful morning, so I bought a cake and a newspaper and sat on a bench in the sunshine whilst he snoozed for an hour. Absolutely heavenly but probably not so good for the diet Blush

How is everyone else doing - especially our new recruits?

OP posts:
Smalline · 05/05/2006 18:52

Good for you busywizzy, 1 cake, isn't going to hurt the diet much, as long as you don't do as I do and have one after the otherBlush. The lovely weather has made me more determined this week, I want to get into my smaller summer clothes, have been good so far this week but who knows what the weekend will bring!!! I feel a bit annoyed with myself for not being on your list, I would have been had I not had my splurge a while backBlush. Well done everyone.

busywizzy · 07/05/2006 17:45

I've been sooooo athletic this weekend, I've almost shocked myself Wink I'm doing the Race for Life in June with about 40 other mums from DD's school. Yesterday, we started proper training with the schools head of sport and I ran on and off for an hour. I'm going to be doing that every Saturday from now until the race so that's got to burn some calories. This morning I went for a cycle with DS on the back and this afternoon, I walked him to the park in the buggy and took DD and two friends on their bikes so I had to walk quickly to keep up with them. Think I might go for a jog this evening but there's still time to change my mind Wink

Have to say though, I don't 'feel' any lighter.

busywizzy · 08/05/2006 13:03

OK, a shameless bit of touting coming up now. You may recall that I've mentioned a few times that I'm doing the Race for Life this year. This is not just to help my weight loss plan but because I have lost a number of close friends to cancer over the past 12-18 months. There have also been a few mums and teachers at DD's school who have been affected and as a result DD (aged 8) and I are running the Race for Life in June in aid of Cancer Reserach. Please, please, please don't feel obliged, but if you'd like to sponsor us (or just see what I look like Grin ) \link{http://www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/suzannebyrne\here}is our web page.

Thank you Smile
