I don't think you'll be laughed out of the class.

I don't do yoga anymore, but I did it for a short time a few years ago. I couldn't touch my toes when I started either (I suspect a lot of people can't actually, not with straight legs anyway) but I was soon able to put my palms flat on the floor with straight legs without too much of a problem. I'm not quite that flexible anymore but can still touch my toes.

I'm sure there are some beginner classes out there which cater for people just getting started. If you join one of those I'm sure you'll be fine.

It's good you're wanting to include flexibility in your workout. So many people work on strength and stamina but forget that flexibility is important too!

In reality, I have 2 stone to lose to get back to my youthful best. But I think being more flexible and losing around 1 stone would be more realistic and hopefully make me feel better in body and mind.

I'm thinking about a couple more classes too. But am trying to get them to fit with the kids activities too, snd trying to do fun things rather than just hard work.
