I have about a stone or a little more to lose. For the last three or four weeks I have been following the 5:2 diet and finding it relatively easy. However I have not lost any weight, due to somewhat uncontrolled pigging on the other five days. Something needs to be done. (However, the I haven't put ON any weight over this time, so the 5:2 has definitely been helping!)
I have just read the Briffa book and like the theory. However I really can't face the thought of no pizza, no pasta, no sandwiches ever. Especially as the rest of my household won't be persuaded to go down that route, and I'm not cooking two different things for every dinner/a lot of dinners.
Would the following work (i.e. lead to a gradual reduction in weight, not necessarily a quick loss):-
Monday, Wednesday, Friday - low carb a la Briffa
Tuesday, Thursday - fasting a la Mosley
Saturday, Sunday - eating "normally" and relatively healthily but including the odd pizza, bowl of pasta, sandwich, cake.
My plan once I have lost the weight would then be to cut back on the low carbing and continue with the 5:2 to maintain.
Any thoughts?
