Can't link to this from old thread but thought I'd start a new one as the old one was getting full and kept crashing my kindle.

OP posts:
DoubleMum · 12/02/2013 11:48

I quite like pancakes with just lemon juice.

DoubleMum · 12/02/2013 11:49

Awful, your poor friend Tabby. I'm glad she's got you. Thanks

RandallPinkFloyd · 12/02/2013 13:34

That's awful Tabby, I'm so sorry.

Lizzy you have a willpower of steel!

Are pancakes really that bad though? They're only milk, flour and egg. If they're really thin and you choose decent toppings they can't be too terrible can they?

juneybean · 12/02/2013 13:35

I wonder how well they'd fry in frylight

DoubleMum · 12/02/2013 13:47

They're fine in Frylight, have done them before.

RandallPinkFloyd · 12/02/2013 16:20

I forgot about the oil Sad
I'm going to my mum's for tea and pancakes. Bollocks

BsshBossh · 12/02/2013 17:44

Oh so sorry Tabby Sad

Double well done!

DH and I can't cook all week as our kitchen is out of action (building work) so we're living on takeout and ready meals - nice once in a while but bleugh everyday. At least it's easy with ready meals working out the calories.

DoubleMum · 12/02/2013 19:08

Bssh I remember when we first had DS we were on our own in London, not near any family and we lived on ready meals. I ended up being so sick of the sight of a ready meal. Hope your building work is finished fast.

dinkydoos · 12/02/2013 19:33

First fast day nearly over .... Went fine tbh, just held off eating anything until after 6pm, as I knew if I ate anything it would just make me hungrier!
Had big prawn and veg stir fry so actually still have calories left , how bizarre is that for a foodie!

DoubleMum · 12/02/2013 19:44

Mmmmmm prawn & veg stir fry!

BsshBossh · 12/02/2013 20:23

That's good willpower dinky and now I'm craving prawn stirfry but don't have access to my cooker and pans

Lizzylou · 12/02/2013 20:36

Dinky, well done on not eaing until 6pm! Blimey!

Bssh, the idea of living on takeaways and ready meals sounds fab to me at the moment, but I can imagine it quickly loses appeal.

Had my pancake, at home with the boys. Was truly lovely and am still within calories.

dinkydoos · 13/02/2013 09:07

Well my fast was rewarded by a 5 lb loss today! Not quite as mad as it sounds as I had put 2 lb on last weigh day due to TOTM. But still.. Pleased! And the fast just wasn't that bad tbh. Had toast this morning. Luxury. Have a good day all.

RandallPinkFloyd · 13/02/2013 09:09

5lb, fantastic, well done you!

Lizzylou · 13/02/2013 09:14

5lb loss!
You star! Smile
Fasting my ass off next week I think Grin

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 13/02/2013 09:58

Sadly Lizzy despite fasting my ass is still present Wink

Well done dinky ... tis brilliant.

Fasting today.

I have scallops and chicken to eat this evening for low calorie tea and am not sure what the hell to do with them. Probably a low-calorie paella - again.

BsshBossh · 13/02/2013 10:17

Well done dinky :)

My TOM is here. To be honest its arrival took me completely by surprise as it's usually preceded by extreme hunger and hoovering up of any food I can lay my hands on. It didn't happen this time and I'm wondering whether it's due to fasting. Anyway, it's a fast day tomorrow so it will be interesting to see how I get on. I'm still going to workout at the gym today but doubt I'll manage Couch to 5k. Will try and get sweaty though.

DoubleMum · 13/02/2013 10:36

Fantastic Dinky!
And yes sadly while I'd love to lose my ass it is definitely still there. In fact though I've lost almost a stone I couldn't actually tell you one place where I'd lost weight, except presumably around my waist as my jeans are looser. That's the problem (one of many) with being so big I guess, I'll have to lose a lot more before it becomes noticeable. The difference this time though is I do feel as if I can go on and lose more.

DoubleMum · 13/02/2013 10:38

Bssh I keep wondering if I can notice a pattern with TOTM - I'm on Cerazette and don't have periods (huzzah!) but there are times I would eat anything and everything. It would be good if these disappeared with fasting. I'm going to do 4:3 this week and fast tomorrow too since we're away for the weekend again.

WiseKneeHair · 13/02/2013 14:11

Well done on your fantastic loss dinky
Crap day yesterday as you've probably seen on MFP. I was tired, headachy and just generally grumpy about normal for me then so ate and didn't exercise.
I'm paying for it today, though, as I feel sluggish and bloated. I'm sure it's the extra food and lack of exercise.
So, planning on doing level 1&2 of extreme shed and shred when I get home. That should give me lots of nice, extra calories and hopefully make me feel better in myself.
Keep on trucking everyone.

RandallPinkFloyd · 13/02/2013 14:16

I'm confused. I've lost 4lb this week Confused

How is that even possible?

DoubleMum · 13/02/2013 15:51

Yippee!!!! I guess you're confusing your body so much Randall it's just given in and said sod it let her have the bloody fat.

RandallPinkFloyd · 13/02/2013 15:56

I think I may be right. I've confused it into submission Grin

BsshBossh · 13/02/2013 16:20

Well done Randall and hurrah for body confusion! I've read that some people like to diet by rotating high and low calories to trick the body eg low cals one day, high the next. I guess alternate day fasting is a bit like this but that's too extreme for me; another would be eg 500 cals one day, 2000 the next, 1000 the next, 2500 etc etc.

Despite TOM I completed another Couch to 5k run today plus an extra 15 mins doing the stepper. Very proud of myself. The pains and aches disappeared as soon as I started exercising.

BsshBossh · 13/02/2013 16:25

Valentine's Day falls on my fasting day tomorrow but I don't need to move my fast because DH is working late and eating in the office. However, I found some delicious 520 cal black forest gateau cakes (DH's favourites) in Waitrose today so guess what my 500 cal meal will be tomorrow when he gets home? Grin
