Am I too fat for the new Diet 5.2?

Hi all, I'm just wondering if anyone can give me some info regarding the "new" 5.2 Diet? I stumbled across this Diet at the weekend, and was so keen to learn more that I downloaded a copy of the book. It sounded great and certainly worth a try, until I got to a chapter that states the diet is not recommended for anyone carrying a lot of weight! Sadly that does include me as I want to shift at least 2 stone, maybe more, so I wondered if anyone else had any more info on this or maybe if you have tried it yourself and have a lot of weight to lose. Thanks. ;-)

Is that where you eat what you want for 5 days and fast for 2?

Don't think 2 stone is a lot of weight to lose, maybe have a chat with your doctor or ask Dr M on twitter how much a lot is.

Yeah, its the eat normal for 5 days and fast for 2. To be totally honest I do need to lose more than 2 stones but this amount to lose is a sort of 1st goal. if you like. I know people started this topic last year after watching the Horizon doc but I wondered how many are still following and or having success.

Come and join us on the big thread, www.mumsnet.com/Talk/big_slim_whatever_weight_loss_club/1655696-5-2-Diet-Thread-Number-9-welcoming-the-new-year there are plenty of us on there, and lots of people have more than 2 stone to lose.

I've been on the diet since September, the best part about it is the fact you can carry on your normal life. That and the fact it makes you feel so good. The weight loss isn't super fast, but slow and steady.
