Dukan diet - emergency post Christmas fat!

I am back again! My Christmas started in November and I have gained a full stone. Ouch!
Started Dukan on 3rd January and it has been hard, hard work breaking the habits of chocolate and wine and bread and so on......
I know I can lose a stone in a month if I attack and stick with it.
Anyone fancy joining me? Could really do with the help!

Can I join? I lost 1 1/2 st on Dukan about 2 years ago & have maintained pretty well since with healthy eating & exercise. However, I relax during hols & the Christmas podge is 7lbs!!!! & not moving fast enough. I would like to lose by Feb 1/2 term as off on hols. Am doing 6w6p too. Will read through the thread, all support greatly welcome & given(smile)

Another 1lb down! I hardly dare say but that's 8lb in a week! Wow! I really did pig out over Xmas.
Did an 30 min speed walk, now having a hot sugar free ribenna.
Am in the zone, hope it lasts!

Well done to you, keep up the good work! I find I tend to relax a bit as I see some progress then get despondant as scales go back up so keep it up!
I'm down a lb this morning but it is all WAY too slow for me Sad

Gilbertwasthebestcat · 10/01/2013 12:45

Talk to me about sausages please. Allowed or not? Can they be that bad? I struggle with lunch and thought cold sausages would be quick and easy. Down 1lb today and not feeling hungry so hopefully going in the right direction now.

greenfig · 10/01/2013 15:45

Should think they are too much fat Gilbert. How about tuna, ham, eggs, cottage cheese? Cold chicken is good to have in the fridge. I ate loads of smoked mackerel with wasabi & pickled ginger 1st time round & can't stand even typing it nowGrin

PastaDee · 10/01/2013 18:32

I'm 6.5lb down now and have finished attack. DH is trying to convince me we can have an Indian takeaway tomorrow evening as a treat..... Now he has set me thinking about it Angry

Drywhiteplease · 10/01/2013 18:38

Gilbert there's a tuna/cottage cheese/oat bran "muffin" recipe that I used to make that you can keep in fridge and take to work. Bit rubbery but filling.
Lunch.......I keep cooked chicken in fidge at all times and make sauces with natural yogurt......( mint, chive, pesto,Dijon mustard...obviously not all at the same time )
I also make smoked mackerel or smoked salmon "pâté" with total 0% fat and spring onions/lemon juice to eat on galettes (I used to make a batch and keep in fridge and pretend it was bread to spread on)

Sausages are not allowed....but a lot is.

Drywhiteplease · 10/01/2013 18:40

pasta chicken tandoori would be ok but without rice which is a bit boring.......unless its a celebration meal

Gilbertwasthebestcat · 10/01/2013 20:18

Right will forget the sausages then! I like the pate idea will try that next week.

PastaDee · 10/01/2013 20:46

I've only just finished Attack so I don't think I'm quite at the celebration point yet sadly! He's supposed to be doing it with me but now he is saying that it will be fine if we have a night off!

Tandoori chicken is a great idea. At least I won't have to watch him eat a yummy takeaway and cook something for myself.

Drywhiteplease · 10/01/2013 21:06

It's so hard if you're dieting alone....good luck pasta

WentworthMillerMad · 12/01/2013 18:50

Another 1lb off today - 11st 10 now - about a stone to go to feel really good. Feels doable! Home made curry tonight without wine!
Switching to briffa in about 10lb time!

Drywhiteplease · 12/01/2013 19:06

Well done wentworth what Israël briffa i keepsake hearing it mentioned. Is it the fasting diet?

Drywhiteplease · 12/01/2013 19:07

Predictive text has gone bonkers!!!
I meant " what is briffa ?"

PastaDee · 14/01/2013 07:41

Held off weighing myself all weekend as I knew weight loss would start to slow.

Lost 1.5lb since Friday morning which gives a total of 8lb. Hurrah!

WentworthMillerMad · 14/01/2013 17:42

Hurrah!

Briffa is a low carb diet allowing some fruit, nuts and red wine in moderation!
The book is brilliant and DH has lost 2 stones on it. V sensible long term plan!

Sounds really interesting wentworth. I'll look into that as I think I'm only going to stick at Dukan for January. It is very restrictive.

In a panic about next weekend as we are staying at inlaws. Will be impossible to stick faithfully to the diet. Confused
